Cheap? Yes. Reliable? No!

Ipost parcels, aka UK Mail but with a different name and a cute mascot 'Parcel Pete' appear to be just as bad regardless of which company name you choose to deal with. Having had bad experience with UK Mail a few years ago with getting stuff delivered where they allegedly couldn't find the delivery address despite giving my phone number and detailed instructions I thought I'd give them a go for a next day delivery parcel collection on Friday. The price seemed reasonable and I even got a txt message informing me that they would collect between 14:38 and 15:38 so all seemed good. The first issue was trying to take advantage of their txt message '10 minutes before collection' service which they had emailed me about. Unfortunately the link didn't work properly and there appeared to be no way to actually sign up for this service. It seems it would have made no difference after all as the driver didn't bother to turn up anyway! I hung around until after 5pm just in case, then used the Ipost online chat to find out what was going on. Apparently the driver ran out of time (Friday afternoon syndrome?) so I'd been re-scheduled for Monday, like that was going to be OK?! When I asked why I hadn't been informed I got no response, I got the impression they just didn't care at all so I cancelled the collection and went with a different courier after having to apologise profusely to my customer as to why they weren't getting their delivery as promised. So it seems a cute mascot and slightly cheaper prices does not make up for unreliable service. I've had enough of this company, and will never use them again in either guise.
