I recently sent a stihl chainsaw through interparcel and my hermes courier network . I used the economy service as it was fast and cheap . The parcel was collected on time and I sat back and waited for my customer to let me know it had arrived ok. A week later it hadnt arrived so I tracked the parcel to the hermes depot where they couldnt find it . To my disgust both interparcel and hermes passed me back and forth and when I asked to claim on the company insurance I was told that the economy service did not have any insurance policy to cover this service. So even though they admitted losing the parcel in the depot I was out of pocket with no chainsaw or money to replace the lost item. How can a courier network offer a collection and delivery service like this handling other peoples goods and not offer or have available a policy to cover this type of loss. To admit it was lost whilst in their possession and basically not give a care in the world is disgusting and I will not use either company again and I will make sure that it is common knowledge to as many people as possible not to use this delivery service
I hope you find this review interesting and use a more professional and reliable delivery service In future
