I liked the price, I liked the relatively simple website but it was all downhill from there. I used the standard 48 hour service with insurance.
1 of the 2 items made it.
They say pick a time that suits you so did. They turned up earlier than requested although luckily I had got back early. Why specify a time scale if they turn up whenever?
Of 2 items sent, one was delivered OK and the other (same item) was damaged so badly it was a right off. I founds the claims procedure laughable although they did eventually make a payment although taking well over 4 weeks which seems excessive. Not appreciated was an email after chasing where the payment was saying the payment had been dispatched that day 1st class. When it eventually showed, the post mark was from the previous day being 5 days after the email. Why the lies?
The claims process was horrendous. Had to take scores of photos showing the item was packaged better than a 500 year vase to satisfy them they were at fault; the original pictures showing the box squashed and covered in boot prints were not enough, they wanted close-ups showing the construction of the box plus the interior protective packing in huge detail.. almost needed to hire a pro photographer to get the shots requested. It took numerous rounds of images before they accepted fault as they were obviously trying to get out of paying on the grounds of weak packaging, despite being in it's original factory packaging which we all know is generally excessive from numerous reports in the media about wasteful packaging. Once this was established as being packed excessively well, they then started trying to pay as little as possible for it. despite declaring the item cost so many 'gold sovereigns' to replace, sending them links to the manufacturer's website to prove what the thing costs, that wasn't good enough. The item was bought along with numerous other things and the bulk receipt wasn't good enough along with the contact details of the manufacturer. I sold the item on a well known site at a loss and this was all they would compensate me for and as I was obliged to compensate the buyer, I lost out big time. After fees I ended up losing further.
As a summary, if you choose to use this company, use them for low cost items and be sure to use protective packaging and you will likely find them adequate. If it's for valuables and/or delicates then use parcel force and pay the extra money for peace of mind
