I ordered 3 items from kiddicare for next day delivery which were baby monitor, cot bed and a mattress i got a text saying it should arrive between 12:07-13:07pm. i got a phone call at 12:40pm saying the driver couldn't find my door so i told them ok i will come outside so the driver can see me when i went down the driver asked me if i lived at number… i said yes and he then got into his van reversed back got out and started to unload the van with my parcels 2 of which are light one was the cot bed that was 65kg he asked me to sign i told him no my front door is on the first floor not outside he told me no i am not taking it up i then told him you have to as i paid for delivery and its a door to door service. as he continued to say it was too heavy and that if i don't sign he will take it all back getting really angry so i told him to call his boss he told me no again so i phoned them and told them they had a driver who is now refusing to take the items up they told me that he needs to take it and to pass the phone to the driver. when the office told the driver that he had to take the box up he said no its too heavy and I'm not doing it so he passed me back my phone the office said sorry pass him back which i did but phone cut off cause my credit had gone. the driver continued to shout at me saying IF YOU DONT SIGN FOR IT I WILL TAKE IT BACK! so i got angry and said wait let me see if someone can help u he didn't care kept saying the same thing. i asked the builders that were working on the ground floor to help it took one builder to take it up and the builder is smaller than the eastern european driver who was big and 6ft maybe more i couldn't believe it. all the office could do was apologize which can't do much for me as if there was no one to help i would of been stuck with my boxes outside the flats. i have never ordered something to then have a driver shout or argue with me would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FEMALE AND SMALL LIKE MYSELF. i called up kiddicare customer service and explained what happened now as for the driver i have something to say to you LEARN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERIOUSLY GO TO THE GYM!!!! SOOOO ANGRY ITS UNBELIEVABLE.

I'm an interlink express driver. We are not allowed to carry anything over 30kgs for health and safety reasons. Kiddycare were also a bit naughty as they know not to send parcels over 30kg with us. Unless it's sent as freight which is something that would be on a pallet and unloaded by forklift. The driver was well within his rights by refusing to carry a 60 kg parcel upstairs. I know my boss would and has backed me up when I've refused to lift similar weight parcels.
