Hermes have managed to damage a parcel, claimed no compensation can be made for damage since the contents were in their exclusion list (worth looking at this is a joke since it is impossible to find what is not excluded) then proceeded to dispose of the contents due to Health and Safety reasons.
I have complained to them THREE times and every time I receive an IDENTICAL reply - which was of no help what so ever, and refused to answer any of the specific points raised.

After reading reviews on TrustPilot, this is pretty typical. Almost everything is on their exclusion (didn't see bricks, but these are fragile too!).
>>If you're booking a collection, be advised that the driver might not be honest. Just because the person picking up your parcel takes it away, don't depend on it getting to the depot, much less the end-user.
>>Whatever the computer says is all that "Customer Services" ha-ha looks at, no effort at investigating actual parcel. So, if it says "delivered", take that with a very large pinch of salt.
>>They will fob you off with any old excuse, and Hell will freeze over before you'll get any compensation.
>>Their alleged "Customer Service Manager (or Director or whatever high-falutin title) responds to ALL complaints with a standard form letter -- almost exact wording on each reply.
>>Deliveries (1) left out in rain, (2) fake delivery, (3) completely wrong destination, (4) packaging damaged / destroyed and (5) driver claims "inaccessible" destination. These are just some of the creative excuses.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PACKAGE!!!
