ordered some items from a well known uk store one that I have used many times before with no problem. Items were to have been delivered by hermes and received tracking status as normal up the point where it stated that the parcel had been delivered. I was at home all that day and no parcel was delivered. So where is it, has the courier still got it. How can he say that it was delivered when it was not. Hermes do not want to know and say to contact the store talk about passing the buck. Quite frankly to say that something was done and it wasn't in my book is a downright lie not to say dishonest. Unfortunately the store only use Hermes.

I had that with a delivery and contacted the retailer as it came up on tracking saying delivered who then contacted hermes whilst i was on hold. They gave retailer drivers mobile and at my request advised him to deliver parcel or i would report him and said got signature. Driver turned up 30 minutes later looking rather sheepish

That well known UK store you bought from isn't doing you any favours by using HERMES. Typically, the delivery driver will fake a signature if he(she) doesn't feel like delivering. If their BS tracking 'system' (using the term loosely) says 'delivered', then customer service is done with you and you've lost the package. The retailer will also call you a liar, because the package was delivered, although some sellers are getting wise and sending a replacement.
Best bet is ask what courier they use, and if it's HERMES, shop somewhere else.
