“scanning machine broken”

Ordered a Regatta parcel and chose to use collect plus as I'm not often home to receiver a parcel. I went to collect the parcel on Friday 28th July (The Local, Carlisle) and was told that the machine used to scan the items was broken so I couldn't pick up my parcel. I was told to come back on Monday which I did only to find out the machine had been fixed but had to be turned off for a while so to come back the next day. I have asked the store network manager to contact this store's owner and chat through the process; we shall also get the IT team to run a diagnostic on the terminal to see if there is a long-term issue that needs correcting.

“Appalling service all round!”

Recent dealings with this company have left me very disappointed. They have left my buyer with only part of there refund and without the item sent as they lost it. Don't use this company to buy a prepaid postage label on a well known auction site, as if the parcel goes missing they only compensate for the item not the postage. I am sorry to read your comments. Our drivers and parcel-handling teams do not deliberately set out to damage or misplace parcels but we accept that, occasionally, parcels can get lost or damaged, which is why we have our compensation scheme and if a sender of a parcel makes a valid claim we will pay them to the level of cover purchased or the value of the item, whichever is the lesser, plus a refund of the cost of the label purchased. We do not compensate for consequential losses such as packaging, anticipated profit or personal time.

“Hopeless 'Service'”

How does this company stay in business? I dropped a parcel off for delivery at our local newsagents on 3rd January, 2017 (Tracking No.JJMFW6B). The tracking information on the Collect Plus site states that the parcel 'Despatched from Warrington Depot' on 4th January.....and then absolutely nothing at all for the next 9 days when I contacted them to ask what had happened to it. My wife received an email from this company containing a half-hearted apology and on offer to refund our £7.10 with -and get this- a request that we use their services again in 'the near future'.
So, their way to 'make amends' consisted of nothing more than an attempt to persuade us to throw even more of our money away in future by trusting them to actually get things right.
How these people have the gall to actually believe that we'd EVER use their alleged service again is quite beyond my comprehension.
Stick to my advice and avoid them like the plague!

Returns to retailers typically take five working days. This parcel was received at the Warrington depot on 10 January, Warrington being the local processing depot for returns to this particular retailer. It could be that the final delivered scan has not been applied so we recommend that you contact the retailer's customer services and explain what has happened. They will be able to confirm if the item has been received or not and will tell you what happens next, as long as you have kept your receipt to prove when you sent the item.

“Shoddy service”

I wouldn't ask or trust this company to deliver anything, when they put on their tracking details that the parcel has been delivered to the customer, that's what you expect. But when the customer say's he hasn't received it and that Collect+ tell them that they have misplaced the parcel it makes a mockery of having any sort of tracking number. “A delivery Service that doesn't deliver. ”

Having organised a hen party, I ordered 24 personalised T shirts to be delivered within two days (expected delivery date 10/8/16) unfortunately the hen is tonight 11/08/2016 and Courier + haven't even started the deliver process. Having used Collect Plus to deliver some of my ebay parcels I recently had an item stolen from my buyers door step. He had a card from 'yodel' (had I known this was the delivery firm used I would have kept well clear!,) to say it had been left on his door step 'hidden' behind a recycling bin dragged over to try and hide it. Have been using this company for last 5 years and am happy to recommend. My mother comes to visit me in the south west of England, from Scotland 3 times a year. I have her clothing sent on to me via collect+ , she just has to pick up her handbag and get on plane and her items are here when she arrives, She returns home and few days later her clothes arrive. On looking at your tracking website I saw that my parcel had left Nant Garw (near Cardiff)and should have been delivered the very same day 29th June, 2016. However, at 5.16 pm it stated those dreadful words "vehicle Breakdown" and there was going to be a slight delay. Four days on and the tracking status is STILL "vehicle breakdown" believe it or not! However, we accept that, occasionally, parcels can get lost or damaged, which is why we have our compensation scheme and if a sender of a parcel makes a valid claim we will pay them to the level of cover purchased or the value of the item, whichever is the lesser.

“Worst company ever!”

i have used collect plus several times and never had a problem until now i have had the worst problen ever i sent a parcel on a 48 hour more expensive rate plus the extra signature and then checked the tracking which said it was delived at 12.18 then got a call from the costomer saying he waited in all day and never got it so i contacted collect plus who tried to find it and after 2 days they said it had been droped of at a large parcel return depot and they could not find it when ask about… Read Full Review

“Dreadful - Driver left parcel on front door step!”

Drivers have guidelines for leaving parcels unattended. These guidelines clearly weren't followed on my delivery. The driver left the parcel next to the front door, clearly visible from a public footpath which runs adjacent to a busy main road! This was total stupidity and demonstrates a clear lack of care. We accept that items do from time-to-time get misplaced or damaged in transit which is why we have our compensation scheme. However, we apply it equally and consistently to those customer who submit a claim and we pay compensation up to the level of cover purchased or the sale price of the item, whichever is the lesser. So it's OK to break your own terms and conditions during the delivery process but not where the compensation is concerned?

Your customers make a considered judgement on insurance
when they place their order based on the terms and conditions on the Collect+ website. Their driver did not adhere to those T&Cs in this case.

Nowhere in those T&Cs does it say that "the parcel will be left in an UNSAFE location" or "handled with NO care or skill" or even "dumped on a public doorstep".

If the T&Cs did say that then I would have purchased the additional compensation.

I'm pursuing this through the correct channels, not on here.

Took 9 (NINE) days to deliver a package, using the Standard (2 day) service, a mere 25 miles! Day 0 - I handed it in at a shop (before 9am) Day 1 - Seemed like it was collected by the courier After there were no updates for 2 days I contacted Collect+ to find out the progress. I just bought an item on ebay which the vendor sent by Collect Plus instead of Royal Mail. Collect Plus reported on it's tracking service that the item had been delivered to customer on a Sunday when we were at home all day.
