Twice in the last two weeks, we have ordered goods, only to be left waiting for them. The first time, we contacted the sender, who assured us CityLink had tried to deliver twice and we should now contact the depot with our order number - difficult to do as we had had no cards through the letterbox and, although I had been in all through the second day, there had been no sight of them. As a great concession, they agreed to redeliver a 'third' time. The package was delivered with parts missing.
The second time, a delivery was attempted two days ago and my husband arranged on their website for delivery today, as he knew I would be here, as indeed I was. I saw the van drive past the house, waited for a knock at the door, which didn't happen, so went out to check. No van, no man and - no card!
This time I have made three phone calls, being put on hold for about ten minutes each time, to be told that the driver had taken a photo of the house number, so he must have called! The third time I rang, having been cut off the second time and having to go through the whole lengthy process again, I was told that there was nothing on the system to show my two earlier calls. Finally, after further arguing the toss, they have grudgingly agreed to deliver next Tuesday.
From now on, whenever we buy online, we will check that the carrier is not City-Link, otherwise there will be no purchase!
I have never dealt with such an incompetent, uncaring organisation before and, believe me, I have had my moments!
