Where do i start? I had a note through the door on 10/07/12 (although the driver had dated it 11th) stating that 'Gee' had tried to deliver a parcel but i was not in. Fair enough - i wasn't. A second attempt would be made.

On 11/07/12 a 'figure' approached the door (Frosted glass) and posted something through (No Knock). Didn't think much of it at the time so I finished what i was doing and went to see what it was. Needless to say, this was a second 'delivery card' with the driver's name as 'George on it. (Strangely enough the date was wrong on this one too, it said 10th!).

I immediately tried to ring City link, but had to hang up after waiting 16 minutes, as i had to go to work. That night i emailed them to complain. I recieved an email saying they would make another attempt, but could not give me a time. I work full time mon - fri and so i knew it would be unlikely that they would deliver.

On 17/07/12 i came home to find the 'note of death' on the door mat, stating that my parcel would be returned to the sender. I contacted 'customer services', and tried to get it into their thick skulls that if the second driver had knocked, i would have had my parcel by now. She would not have it, staing that they had made good on thier part of the bargain. I asked several times to be put through to the complaints dept (it took about 5 or 6 before she did.

I then spoke to a male called Thomas, who clearly did not believe that the second driver did not knock. He stated that drivers take photos of the property each time they deliver and so he could prove it. He also stated that drivers get paid for each delivery so why would he not knock. I suspect this is not true, however i will be making enquiries into this.

From looking on the Web, City Link are in massive amounts of debt, and so, with a bit of luck, we won't have to suffer them much longer anyway. Shame.
