The shipment of my new 3d td was late, as my dealer said that this model is becoming short in my region. Thanks to its affordable price tag with expensive features. Otherwise with this screen size & full HD 3D features LEDs wouldn’t be affordable. Anyways the box was bulky but when it was opened, there comes slim bezel 43 inch plasma with mirror finished glossy black borders. While the transparent glassy stand speak of itself as a marvelous piece of decoration. Really speaking... (read more)

3d aspects of this TV set has already been elaborated in my review regarding Samsung 3d blu ray player (BD6500). One thing I would like to add is about 'side by side 3d video watching' which can be downloaded from youtube. Save these content into USB, then plug it in with your 3D BD Player (Samsung BD6500), TV will show side by side screen, which can then be converted using converter button. The result are awesome. So, the converter is not useless at all, but quite effective for converting ‘side by side 3d videos’ available on the net.

Samsung PS43D490 HD Ready 43" Plasma 3D TV

Lovers of motion pictures seem to be having a filled day with the Samsung PS43D490 HD Ready 43" Plasma 3D TV. From its exquisite design its superb picture quality, this 43" LED wonder has not failed to impress.

Owners on Reevoo commended the spectacular colour rendition that creates the best images yet to be seen, colours appear real and there are no shadow formations within the viewing range.Obviously a result of the Clear Image Panel and Real Black Filter features. Although, a few concerns were raised over the rather low 1024 x 768p resolution, consumers who were familiar with models with higher resolutions confirmed that the picture quality was just as good. But that isn’t the only thing causing the buzz; the excellent Dolby Digital sound output must be quite extraordinary to be rated a 10 out of 10 by users on Tesco. So much that one consumer claimed it was the best sound output from a plasma TV.

Other users were more interested in the HD viewing and of course gaming, both of which were certified first-class. With the increased connectivity featuring 3 HDMI ports, a scart, USB, CI slot, VGA, component input and PC interfaces, users happily forgave the absence of a DNLA ethernet port and the total lack of smart TV capabilities. Needless to say, no one could disagree with the in-built freeview and the fact that the entire system is totally easy to set up.

As much as appears that this product made away with all the throphies, there may be a few aspects that were less than credible. Like most Plasma sets, daytime viewing is considered horrible, the reflections are very bad especially when the curtains are up. A few at Ukhotdeals also suggest that consumers may feel better if the TV could come with free 3D glasses and a longer power cord so they one can turn the TV with pulling out the cord. Apart from these few and, to be fair, trivial matters, the Samsung PS43D490 HD Ready 43" Plasma 3D TV is an all round winner or else owners at Reevoo wouldn’t think it deserves a whooping 9.3 out of 10.
