having ordered 5 begonia corms on line I was sent some thing completely different and when I finally had to get in touch by phone I was then sent the items I ordered and told to just keep the wrong ones which was fine but when I opened my origonal order I ound two of the smallest corms ever and the others were not as big as a 10 pence piece. total price £16.99. so will not be using them again.

This is my 4th year growing F1 Firecracker bush tomatoes and every year I have not been disappointed. No need to pinch out or support. They are perfect for containers and hanging baskets. Only put 1 plant per basket or container and you will get better crop. The bigger the container the better the crop. They are very tangy and acidic and have a wonderful "kick" when eating raw. Feed and water regularly and you will not be disappointed

Hi Just received 24 Begonia Apricot Shades 10 of them the leaves and stems are broken all in the bottom of the box and the rest of them are not much better very disappointed just hope the the rest of my order is in better condition at the end of May

2 packets tomato seeds, sow by dates july 2025. Sown alongside old seeds from t and m with sow by date 2019. Of 3 sowings all same time, compost etc only 2019 batch germinated. Waste of 7 quid for 2 in date packs. More annoying is new packs were supposed to be average 20 seeds. One had only 13, other had 15. Who are they kidding. Now have to buy plants, so the wasted cost plus extra expenditure now up circa 40 quid. Very annoyed. Would complain but packets went into bin.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT YOUR PLANTS TO ARRIVE. Order numerous plants in stock on website, dispatch in 3 days. 2 weeks later nothing arrived. Was told after 1 week in phone call they were picked ready for dispatch. 1 week later numerous items had been cancelled without notification as out of stock, so obviously not picked! 1 further week and still nothing! A further phone call and was told they had been delivered, although their own tracking system showed this was ANOTHER LIE. Then told, sorry all items are now out of stock. Weeks later and without notification ALL CANCELLED, and now too late the purchase from anywhere else. AVOID THIS APPALLING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I have one order cancelled and have had no reply to my email explaining why. Another order has been changed due to their quality control. This order was 9 plants short, and a different variety of Begonias. They offered a £5.00 voucher for any future purchase. I have asked for a full refund. Earlier in the year I had some post plugs which all died within a week. I would not recommend them to anyone stay clear away from them, there are better and more reliable merchants out there.I definitely will not use them again.

Appalling service and products. Received a split order, first tomato plant arrived dead after 6 days in transit, the second part arrived in the same condition. 4 dead tomato plants in total. I complained prior to delivery concerning the amount of time in transit, no reply. I complained about the condition of the order on arrival and still no reply, 4 days after my initial complaint, much more than the advised 48 hours. The outer packaging wasn’t damaged however the plants / pots were. This didn’t happen in transit, someone at Suttons thought it was a good idea to send damaged / dead plants. So in short, appalling products and even worse “customer service” Never again. £22.97 wasted. They have 1 star because there’s no option for zero. There’s plenty other online gardening websites, please use any of them apart from Suttons!

Furious is the only way I can describe it I rang to order on purpose as the product could come anytime within a month and I would be away So rather than ordering in internet I spoke to a lady who promised me 3 times it could be put round the back on patio ( large heavy item) Whihst away in Corfu said it would be delivered I e mailed Sutton’s to make sure these instructions were being followed Errrm no This was then left for all to see outside the front of my house Furious , neighbour away too so was stuck in no win situation Would never use them again now

I ordered and paid for 72 perennials (£12.99); 10 Hellebores (£17.99); 10 Phlox (£4.99 - including £5 discount) on 6th March. I received 10 dry and poor looking Phlox; 2 bags with compost and some dry and poor looking Hellebores. On 21st March I emailed to ask when I could expect delivery of the Perennials and to ask if I could have a refund of £3 as they were now advertising them at £9.99. I received a rather brusque reply saying I would not be getting a refund and the Perennials would not be dispatched until 28th March. On 29th March I received an email saying that the Perennials were dispatched on 28th March. It is now 9pm on 31st March and I am still awaiting delivery! Tomorrow is 1st April (surprise!) Goodness knows what the plants will be like after 4 days in transit (if they arrive) To sum up - I do not recommend this company and will never use them again. I really wish I had read the reviews before placing my order!

Ordered.seeds.on 7th March. Had confirmation email on 10th confirming dispatch. After 3 contacts with customer.service.i was advised they were infact diapached on the 13th. Suttons.advertise 24 hour dispatch. Customer services were.extremely unhelpful. I will shop elsewhere.

Endless marketing emails received from this company. I finally took up one of there special offers and placed an order at the begining of September 2021. Payment was taken immediately and confirmation received same day stating the order would be despatched within 24 hours. 6 days later I received another email stating there was a delay, and the order would be despatched on 1 October. Nothing received by 10 October, so I sent them an email and was told I would receive my order within 7-10 days. 25 October and still nothing received. Their website states that there is a problem that prevents order tracking. This company shouldn't be trying e-commerce if they cant set up their website or fulfil orders. Their website shows a banner puporting to show "excellent" customer reviews. The reviews on Trust Pilot suggest these are fake reviews. I wish I'd checked reviews on here before placing my order. Stay away from this company - I will!

This is a very awkward company to deal with especially if you want to return an item. We only got a partial refund on a Trug we ordered which was of dreadful quality. They doctored their discount on a mix of products to reduce our refund by approx £10.00, so we ended up out of pocket for an item which was not even fit for purpose. When I took it up with them they refused to budge. They were right and I was wrong. Surprisingly, if you try and order the same Trug now, it is no longer available. Says it all really. So beware of ordering from this company who seem to make it up as they go along. I would not recommend buying from them online unless you are willing to take the risk. Buyer Beware!

I bought 72 plug Bergonia plants for 17.99.they arrived pushed in my letter box. When opened they were all tangled up but I potted them on thinking this is Sutton’s seeds which has been going since I was a child.7 has survived out of the 72,and I only bought them because they email me to say would I like 24 FREE Geraniums pants if I paid p&p I thought great NEVER received them after 4wks of NO confirmation I phoned them it took 30 mins to answer and after all they it took about 15 to 20 mins to find my order.He said they were just picking them and I received them a wk later.But Never Received my Free Geraniums plants.But if they were anything like the Bergonia pants that I received they woul have been no good any way,I have sent Email to conplain but like my order no reply.What a waist of £17.99.So I in Aldi super market they were selling 6very LARGE flowering ones for £3.50.So next year the best place to buy well estimated and HEALTHY plants from is ALDI and LIDL for Best Quality.as Sutton’s Don’t bother about the customer just as long as they get yr money.

My coleus arrived about 3 weeks late and were so damaged as to be all but useless. Out of 20 plants we salvaged 6, just wish I had purchased from the local garden centre. The plants had tipped out of their plastic trays and were squashed and broken in the bottom of the box. I took photos and sent them to Suttons Seeds but have not received a response or refund 6 days on. I shall not be purchasing from this company again.

I have ordered garden ready plants from other providers previously, with good results. Obviously plants will arrive looking a little rough, but these from Suttons were qualitatively different. The box was a a soggy cardboard object which had become squashed. Inside, there was a plastic tray with ten sockets. The plants were not in those sockets. They were sideways and upside down. More of a well tossed salad than something to plant. Bits of compost everywhere. I thought that was a one-off till the second box arrived. Not squashed, but the same scenario, free floating seedlings waving roots and leaves in a depressing tangle.

Plants arrived dead, do not respond to emails, eventually got to speak to them agreed refund, never paid. Scamsters is the only way to describe them. Buy local.

Bought beetroot and lettuce SEED TAPES. Planted as instructed outside and also in compost in potting shed. NOT A SINGLE SEED GERMINATED of either variety. Normal lettuce seeds planted in the same compost at the same time grew successfully.TERRIBLE!

Placed order in March. 1st items arrived a few days ago via Hermes. Plants were broken and soil was everywhere. Emailed photos, of the 12 plants, 4 were broken. No response from customer services. 2nd batch of plants arrived, again via Hermes and again soil everywhere and plants damaged. Those that weren't are almost dead. I planted them in the hope they may revive but of the 10 only one has. 3rd batch arrived today, again via Hermes and damaged and soil everywhere. I have been in contact with Sutton customer services and I am just asked to call and 0844 number or an 0333. The first time I called it cost me £5.40 to be told I'd reached an overflow line and I'd be called back within 48 hours ( I'm still waiting 8 days later). All that happens now is that I'm asked to ring another premium rate number. Dead plants delivered by the cheapest courier and then a premium rate number to complain.
