“Strawberry Toscana F1 plants”

These strawberries were an offer which I thought sounded good, although I don't normally grow them but I'm very pleased I did because the flowers are astonishing. The plants themselves arrived well packaged, well grown and strong. As I said, I don't normally grow strawberries, but full instructions came with the pack, and I didn't have any problems. I did pot them on because the weather wasn't of the best, and I thought in any case it would give them a better chance, but they've grown on... (read more)

“Best for everything”

Most nurseries are good for some things but not for others, however Dobies have not once let me down once even though I have ordered all sorts of fruit flowers and vegetables. Delivery dates were adhered to and beautifully packed plants arrived in perfect condition despite careless postal services . Thank you to all concerned. Looking forward to the next catalogue. “Casablanca 1st Early Potatoes”

I planted 3 Casablanca 1st early spuds, from Dobies of Devon, in each of 2 black buckets at the beginning of March. They stayed in the greenhouse until the beginning of June and I have just harvested 2.5 kg of splendid, tasty spuds. Two more buckets to go - yippee! A must for next year. (read more)

ordered garden ready begonias from canny gardener jersey plants direct and dobies canny gardener and jersey plants were far too small for late may but dobies were excellent and were garden ready and no losses as packaging was superb (read more)

my husband and I have been buying vegetable and flower seeds, herbacious border plants and annual flower plants in plug form for over 30 years. We have been satisfied enough to buy them every year during that time. We have always been happy with the service we had from Dobies and since it started, buying on the computer has been very straight forward. We would recommend the whole system to anyone.The seasonal catalogues you supply are excellent in colour and quality. (read more)

“Exceptional help to a first time gardener”

I was a first time gardener when I visited Dobies online. I only purchased one pack of seeds to be delivered to me by post - this doesn't seem like a lot, I know, but what came with the seeds was a leaflet giving me advice and hints as to when to plant/maintenance of seeds. This gave me confidence to plant and my flowers are growing happily now!
