Item: Pioneer BDP-LX70
Overall, I would well recommend this Pioneer HD DVD Player, however when I think more into this review, maybe I am simply recommending HD DVD Players and the latest software rather than this DVD Player alone.
I personally have nothing to complain about, Pioneer seems to be of very good quality build...
For example, this DVD player is very stylish and not too big but at the same time it doesn't feel like there are any cheap bits attached to it.

Excellent sound quality esp when connected to Sky HD or A Blu ray Player, definitely recommend it.great sound , loads of various surround modes and even THX compatible ! The Auto calibration feature is great , will make setting up a breeze, takes about 5 mins for the amp to sort its settings

The Pioneer PDP 436 SXE easily beats my brother-in-law's last generation PixelPlus3 ambilight and so on LCD Phillips on standard TV signals. I get an excellent image from standard TV signal. However I cannot find a headphone

Item: Pioneer VSX-2016
My wife bought me the VSX-2016 as a Christmas present. I hooked it up today and was well pleased with the sound quality and features... though I'm still working my way through them all. The Auto MCACC was a snap and I could really tell the difference between this receiver and my older Kenwood. he sound was crystal clear through every channel through my Klipsh speakers. I would really like to hear the sound through a speaker system like KEF - I hope my wife reads this... got a birthday ...
