I started using Pixum Photo Books after the birth of my granddaughter, now 21/2, and have to say it has been one of my better ideas! The process is simple (Granny can do it!) and can be tailored to your needs or whims. I've done books with and without text and both versions are equally effective. I love the flexibility - to capture the moment you can have lots of small photos telling the story, just one big one that summarises it or, if you can't decide then you can have both! If you find you have too many photos and just can't bring yourself to leave any out, then you just increase the number of pages... 34 is a fine number for me since I can't wait long to get the next book done!
I've kept the same background colour, font and layout for the cover of each one and the collection looks really impressive.
I don't use the assistant - it confuses me. I'd rather plod along at my own pace. That's another feature I like - you can 'save' at any point and go and make the dinner, watch your favourite TV programme or go and take some more photos and then come back to it at your leisure. No pressure!
It's easy to delete photos, place them where you want - in front or behind others and even move pages around.
I haven't found anything that I think is missing yet!
I bought into the idea of digital photography and the associated cost savings (printing only what you want) but just when do you get around to printing anything? I'm using this as an alternative to photo albums. The 'granddaughter books' have been greatly admired, friends are coming for lessons how to do them and I feel I am building up a collection that will be a great legacy for her. My problem will be when the number of grandchildren grows!
If anyone is hesitating, I don't know why! Just do it now!
