Why you will not want virgin media broadband.

My name is Christian and I live in Edinburgh for 3 years. I have lived in Wheatfield Place for more than 2 of them and I have been a virgin media customer since then.
This year I moved to a new property and I transferred my broadband to the new one in Broughton Road.
The relation with my partner has gone bad so we split and I have been move to a hostel.
Is impossible to get a customer service of this company through their website so I went to the virgin media store in Hanover Street Edinburgh and I explain the situation to the guy in the store.
He only asked me if I knew the current tenant into the property and ask me for her phone number to change it on her name, so I gave them the details and he just gave me the phone number for the customer service.
I phone them and then over the phone they told me that I had to pay 140 pounds to cancel my account. I explained to them that I am a virgin media customer for more than 2 years and that my contract was an 18 months length contract so I do not have to pay.
The man on the phone said me that when I moved I signed a new contract for 1 year...What the hell? It never happened. I did not sign anything new at all. He also asked me for the phone of the new tenant I gave it to them.
The new tenant has paid 25 pound to change it into her name. They have not done anything is the same hover and the same line.
Today I have another phone call asking me to pay 140 pounds.
So this guys has not comply with what was signed at the very beginning more than 2 years ago, they have cheat me to find out the new tenant details, they have got 25 pounds from her and no they want 140 from me without do absolutely nothing at all, being me who has been trying to contact them, being me who has to go to the shop, being me an old customer.
Is disgusting how greedy this people can be, cheating the customer they have (because in the store no one told me about that 140 pounds payment, I had to find in out by myself when calling to the customer service).
It is the worse customer service I have ever seeing I am a homeless now and the owner which is so rich is so greedy that want 165 pounds (140+25) doing absolutely nothing.
I am not going a pay anything else to this greedy people and I do really advice you to choose another internet supplier.
To be honest it did not work that fast...now I am using my smart phone 3G internet through my computer and it works the same faster and it is free because I pay 16 pounds for my mobile internet and I use it in both devices.
To be honest I do really do not recommend you to go with them. As you can see this people do not care about their customers at all, and in the long-term you will pay the consequences of a bad choose if you go with them.
