Took over a premises with an existing Unicom line, quite happily signed a new contract with Unicom. To cut a long story short, my business ceased trading so I contacted them immediately to arrange for the line to be disconnected. They advised me as my business had ceased trading there would be no cancellation fee etc. I asked them on two separate occasions to send me the final bill via the post as I wouldn't have access to the internet for some time. After weeks of waiting, I called them to ask where my final bill was and they told me I owed them £158 which included a huge cancellation fee and I was facing imminent court action. They denied all knowledge of previous phone calls to them. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

£158 doesn't sound like a "huge cancellation fee". I think you need to get some perspective rather than sullying a company's reputation for the sake of your phone bill.

I don't think his issue was with the cancellation fee, I imagine it was with the advice he was given that there was no cancellation fee, followed by the denial of the previous call and a cancellation fee.
I'm normally doubtful of one-star reviews as every story has two sides, but having worked with ex-unicom employees and heard their horror stories about their time there I'm more inclined to believe this review than I usualy would be.
