“Sudden rate increase”

Useless service - even when it works. All of a sudden, without notification the rate to call an Irish landline from the UK has increased by 350%. That is some price hike!! Then they tell you that they are not obliged to notify you of any price increases. I would have thought that this much increase would be worth an email to the customers. (read more)

Don't use the company. Your calls may work the first few times. Making u think this is a good system, once u top up that's the last u will see of ur money. I have been trying to ring Pakistan now for over 3 weeks. All I get is this number is engaged. This is the same for every single number, don't bother ringing them up. They are not helpful at all, they will lie and tell you to try in a few moments. These cheats will pay for what they are doing. I don't want to even rate this company. (read more)

i will neve buy this card ever AGAIN! the local access number never works & the toll freee number gives you have the MINUTES! total rip OFF!! customer service was not HELPFUL, they gave another local number to TRY! same THING. so you use the toll free number & basically give away your $$ for FREE! they should be ASHAMED! STAY AWAY FROM “SIMPLE CALL” Even if the voice quality is excellent; this provider has serious issues with lines “ALWAYS BUSY TONE” Our survey found that 90% of the times LOCAL CALLING AREA numbers in CANADA show BUSY TONES. I and my family regularly use SimpleCall and highly recommend it. I love being able to add multiple numbers onto my account so my wife and others can use my account simply by dialing the access number. I also like the direct dial feature which allows you generate local numbers to add to your phones speed dial which are mapped to international numbers you select. They offered unlimited calling to bangladesh for $12.99 a week. They said on their website, "Our simple, flat rate means you make unlimited international calls to Bangladesh without worrying about talk time or call rates!" Obviously it means unlimited phone calls to bangladesh right? Simplecall.com their calling rates are cheap but not for all country. They can offer something special for Africa as well. Call quality is generally good, but not always. Sometimes you have to redial because the it happens that the other party cannot hear me. Interestingly, it happens less often when you use the local numbers. Also they have another service like direct call where you get a different local access number for each person you want to call. Saving time: since I'm living abroad I have been try a lot of calling card but most of the time I waste my time ( 2/3 min good then disconnect the line and keep trying but no connection even sometimes connection is ok but can hear the voice). I have been using Simplecall for the last 7 years now and I live the DDI service they provide which I find very useful as I call a lot while I am driving. Some small issue but happy to overlook due the level of service I have received. I have recommended their service to almost 20 people I know and almost all of them still use Simplecall!!! I tried to sign up with simple call but decided to call their freephone number to make some enquiries first. Very noisy line and I could hear my own voice echoing back to me with about 3 seconds delay. Their agent then agreed to call me back. Same terrible line quality. If this is the best they can do for their sales and customer service lines, what hope for their customers making personal calls. I will stick with Skype and Rebtel for now. (read more)

This is the most bogus company I have ever seen. They provide the service from Bangladesh, and when customers get angry with their bad service, they give all sorts of stories- technical problems and those! I would not definitely recommend their service to friends. They say unlimited but impose a fair use policy(2000 mins). So they could advertise as 2000£ for 8.99£/month instead of misrepresenting customers by using the word "unlimited". Skype says "unlimited" but their fair use policy is... (read more)

Imon, its truly unlimited with no fair use policy. This is good if you have unlimited anytime plan in your landline. For mobile the plan of 10£ unlimited plan through premium text is better(if you have the old simplicity plan of o2 or the one plan of three). I came to know about Simple call few months back or maybe a year through television ad. It was not there from 2008. Be aware of another bhogus company-unlimitedindiacalling.com. Few reviews came in last 30 mins-are you sure you not from simplecall trying to market? If I was from another service provider trying to market then i would have told of a particular provider. Use some common sense guys!

Simplecall.com was not their 3 years back, so I am not sure how you used their service 3 years back? For the last 6 years I have been using different ways to make international calls -0870 numbers, 0845 numbers, etc. Are you trying to advertise on their behalf? Read my review.
