I made an on-line enquiry along with several other companies to see how feasible it would be to order a short-term internet service for a location that was going to be used for just a few months.
However, I managed to find a better, cheaper annual service from another ISP which I duly ordered.
To my horror however, I found that my enquiry with Direct Save Telecom had turned into an order, without my consent and what's more they even took over the BT line so I could not cancel it. I was left with the only option which was to order another BT line and delay using the location for several weeks before it was installed.
To cap it all, they are now demanding a £50 cancellation fee - even after I received an apology from one of their senior managers.
