Signed up to BT in Sept 2015 after seeing an advert for £5 broadband with £17.99 line rental for 12 months. In July 2016, they increased the price to £6.10 for broadband and £18.99 line rental.
When I complained, they stated that the contract states that they can increase their prices at any time. I doubt the legality of such a trick, so have made a complaint to the advertising standards agency.
Meanwhile, BT refuse to honour the agreement, while at the same time refusing to let me close my account without paying around £200 in cancellation fees.
