Since we moved house in March, BT have given us a phone number, which receives about 1-6 calls every day for it's previous owners from marketing companies, friends, family etc, and BT refuse to give us a new number unless WE pay them £25! It's utterly ridiculous they wont even look at the call records to see how bad it is! I don't believe this number they provided us was ever out of use for more than a few months. The telemarketers will NOT stop ringing us and because they are in India, TPS means nothing to them!
I think the customer care of BT is disgusting, and this is not the first problem we have had with them, just a few months ago they tried to charge us for an engineer call-out we were told on the phone was going to be free, they conveniently 'lost' the call records, we eventually after over a month of pestering, got them to reverse the charge! They just don't care, simple as that.
