“Vacation's must!”

Written on: 26/02/2015

Recently purchased this Worldsim after hearing from a friend using it in his trip and enjoyed the rates that is lower to his current provider. Ordered for myself last year in December for my vacation trip at the end of the year. I have enjoyed my trip, as receiving calls were free as they said. Was charged only $25 for outgoing calls to my home and friends and was recommending them WorldSIM. I also did a recharge online to get free credits too! Great experience for me!… Read Full Review

“Easy data on multiple devices”

Written on: 23/02/2015 by Viktor5M5 (1 review written)

Getting a SIM card to use data in my Ipad and my mobile phone was a mess I never wanted to be in. Every time I wanted a SIM card, the operators would prompt me to take two different SIM cards of different sizes, having to manage two different accounts. Thanks to WorldSIM I purchased the Tri Fi, which came with one data sim card. Now, with one SIM card I get wifi data by the device, both for my Ipad and my phone without requiring to change existing SIM card. Also the power pack battery backup is… Read Full Review

“Tri-Fi is a must!”

Written on: 13/02/2015 by Georgerocks80 (1 review written)

The Trifi turned out to be a profit in my office business trip with my colleagues. They all their different roaming SIM cards with them. But no one had a data plan. With the Tri-Fi I able to share the data that I had with my colleagues, and was also able to charge my colleagues phones too. 3 phones charged full and still was able to use data for 1.5 hours. A must for group travelers!… Read Full Review

“Happy customer”

Written on: 10/02/2015 by Amandah25 (1 review written)

Used my local SIM service for roaming, was charged around £300.00 in a short trip for Greece, Norway and Japan for making and receiving calls. Would not say it was their fault, but their rates were high as expected for roaming. Was looking for an alternate option and found WorldSIM after searching in the web. Thought of giving it a trial. Purchased the WorldSIM and used in the same trip after 6 months and only one third charged for the entire trip. Didn't use Data with the WorldSIM, only calls… Read Full Review

“Great Saviour”

Written on: 05/02/2015 by 80Halsey (1 review written)

Had great experience using it back home in India. Used it for 2 weeks stay in India, and enjoyed the cheap rates under the Reliance network. Before traveling had to contact the support to clear about the provider in India, so followed that up, and just worked with only £25 in my credits. Never imagined to finish my trip with only less than £25! Great save in money!… Read Full Review

“Great Customer Service”

Written on: 04/02/2015 by 427Adair (1 review written)

I called the support line for assistance in regards to my SIM card not registering to any network during my stay in the USA. First I called, spoke to an agent, he asked my address and Post code, and also asked about the error I was received in my mobile. Said to him, followed his steps that he has asked me to do. Nothing worked. He said he would check with the back end team or so whatever and would call back. I just gave up and thought of throwing away the SIM card. After that I left my phone… Read Full Review

“Great Service from WorldSIM”

Written on: 02/02/2015 by darktango52 (2 reviews written)

I called the support service during my stay in the USA, as I was unable to register to the recommended network for USA. I called them, and said to them my problem. They followed a troubleshoot with me, and the end result was nothing. Unable to connect, they asked me my address, and a post code and they informed that they would check with the back end team, and would call me back shortly. I simply gave up, thought would never get a call back and would bin the sim card. Later, I left the phone… Read Full Review

“Online Portal is fantastic!”

Written on: 29/01/2015 by txTaylor-Alt136 (1 review written)

Yesterday, I was contacting the support team, as my line was not working, found that I had an issue dialing out. Went to my account to get the contact information, and was advised to visit the self service hub that it says as an online portal. Clicked on my issue type that was service failure, and read the steps, followed and figured out that I was connected to a wrong roaming partner as they say, changed the network and managed to place a call. Reduced my time to waste on contacting, managed… Read Full Review

“WorldSIM - Could do better”

Written on: 27/01/2015 by Kevinh28 (1 review written)

Had issue using the WorldSIM in UK, called the support team while leaving, and asked them the process for using it in the USA. They said to select the US profile and it would connect automatically. Came to USA, powered on the phone, took some time for setting up the location, then kept searching for 5-10 minutes, was registering and then lost, then kept searching, finally after some time, logged to the Tmobile network. And called back home. Voice was not that clear, found some breaking, but was… Read Full Review

@Reidum239, I purchased a Dutch Virtual Number, in which they had asked my address to activate my Dutch number. I replied back to the email they sent, and I got my number activated in somewhat 7-8 hours! Were they looking for your address or something?

“Avoid WorldSIM card”

Written on: 11/12/2014

I purchased the Worldsim on a Qantas flight. When turning the phone on, it can take around 5 to 10 minutes to connect to a carrier (sometimes longer) and when it does the service is poor and unreliable. In Australia the preferred carrier is Optus and I had limited service or luck making calls. In the USA, the phone worked occasionally, but only about 15-20% of the time that I tried to make calls. In Mexico the service is very poor, the recommended provider (Iusicell) is rarely detected by the… Read Full Review

The time it takes to connect depends on the handset and at times it depends on the network provider. The better way to get around these issues are to restart the handset and wait till you get a network provider. Making sure that you have selected the proper profile and even after these you are not able to connect, then the customer service is always there to help. They provide troubleshoot and technical assistance.

“WorldSIM card made my roaming cheap”

Written on: 14/11/2014 by Rashed2580 (2 reviews written)

I bought this Worldsim on board a British Airways flight from Dubai to Holland as it seemed interesting that I could use it for my holidays without hassle to make cheap calls. As I reached my hotel I made 4 calls back home and I was not aware that I used my credit in those calls and then when I was trying to make calls they were not going through so I was annoyed by that and I had no idea what to do so I could call back to Dubai. Then after a while, to my surprised I received a call and the… Read Full Review

“Don't try it in India!!!!!”

Written on: 27/10/2014 by vargam (1 review written)

Bought a card to give to my wife as she left for a trip to India. Card worked well during her trip (great rates indeed) but turned into a nightmare as soon as she arrived to India. I was informed by CC (btw: they are really ok, quick responses) that it works only with provider Reliance (otherwise a minute costs around 4 pounds (~7USD)!!!!) Unfortunately Reliance was only available on a single day (when it was it went really well) - the calculator on page  somehow forgets about this I spent… Read Full Review

Hi Vargam,

Sorry for your experience which you had in India. We believe Reliance has a strong network coverage and you would also enjoy the mentioned rates under the Special profile in India.

“Much chepaer than my current provider ”

Written on: 08/10/2014 by Vancefh341 (1 review written)

I have seen WorldSIM being sold inflight for several years, but was skeptical about the savings that could be achieved. On my last trip to Dubai, however, my bill was so large that I decided to buy one and give it a go. Surprisingly, it worked well and my bill was 70% less than what I used to pay. You get a new mobile number :(, but I managed to forward my existing number to the WorldSIM number so existing contacts could reach me easily. Overall worth the investment and oh by the way, you need… Read Full Review

“Better stay away from WorldSIM”

Written on: 13/09/2014 by seebaer (1 review written)

World Sim Card ins not working in Singapore with the choice (cheap) Provider (Starhub), but with all other. Tried to sort out the Problem first by FAQ (reset Phone about 10 times) than by 'Support': Answer is the same text like in FAQ. Was told to call Hotline. I did (6 US$) and was promised to be called back (via 'expensive Provider).... Left Country after 4 days, heard nothing from WorldSim. I'm now in Indonesia, and same story with choice provider (Axis): not possible to connect, but all… Read Full Review

Have called customer services who now tell me I logged onto wrong profile (I did exactly as their leaflet advised and used wrong local telecom provider - I did exactly as their website advised. “Worldsimcard.com ripoff”

Written on: 30/03/2014 by livesalesonline (1 review written)

They sold me a sim card for $40 that does not work anywhere it is supposed to according to their printed brochure. Worldsimcard.com customer care is there just to give you the runaround so that you will forget about the money you paid for the dysfunctional card. It is amazing in this age of so much regulation that a UK based company like worldsimcard.comn can get away with cheating EU consumers since 2006 with no consequence whatsoever. They really are the worst of the worst, avoid like the… Read Full Review

“World what?”

Written on: 17/12/2013 by WMBKK (1 review written)

Don't waste your money. Initially bough a 3G dongle for business travel, it did not work in Thailand nor in China nor in several EU countries. WorldSIM managed to convince me the SIM card was out of date and upgraded me to a new one that does not even work in a 3G dongle, at my cost of course. I ended up with a dongle, two SIM cards and a load of credit. I gave up when calling WorldSIM to sort it all out and being told for the 10th time to remove the application and re-install it, how many… Read Full Review
