Diabolical service

We have used other insurance providers for other pets. All with great service. I cannot begin to explain how diabolical the service with Petplan was in my case. At no stage did anyone ever call or email me to update me. I had to call every week, each time being put through to someone who didn't seem to know what was going on with my case, nor really seemed to care. I asked for my case to be escalated to someone who could resolve it, but this never really happened. At one stage I tracked down the name of the person in charge of the Petplan business unit - a Mr Brettel. I sent him 2 emails - he never responded in any way.

I was out of pocket for almost £1500 for far too long a time. It was only when I threatened with legal action (I'm a solicitor), that anyone took notice of me. Eventually it was paid out. But far too late and with too much effort on my part.

Really not good. Use another insurance provider if you can. Avoid Petplan
