My dog, Rags, suddenly took very ill. When I came dowstairs on a recent Saturday morning he had seriously bad diorrhea and vomiting with a considerable loss of blood. I took him straight to the vet and he was treated with penicillin and various other drugs. He was also put on a drip before transferring to a specialist vet. The costs mounted rapidly and I was concerned about being covered for this. Happily Petplan did not utter a single word of a quibble and the bill was paid so quickly that I could not actually believe it having had a bad experience some years ago over a subsidence claim where I had to argue for a full year before the bill was paid.
I later heard from a friend, who is a vet, that a few dogs in the area had had this problem and one had actually died. Seeing Rags's condition that Saturday, I was not surprised at that.
And Rags says 'thank you'.
