We renewed our pet insurance this year as the quote came through with a reasonable price. When the direct debit stated - almost double the stated premium was taken- on looking into this- E&L add 'optional extras' such as redundancy cover and (basically PPI) onto your monthly cost which you have to opt out of, so is not optional so if you don't keep an eye on your payments you will be stung...., won't be using them again.
