We nearly lost our Dog on the operating theatre after he decided to swallow a ball. After our wonderful vet saved him, we then went into panic on receiving their bill. I rang the claims line, was totally reassured and printed the claim form off. Paid the excess and gave vets the form and it was as easy as that.
A few months later, our dog went lame. We were hesitant to investigate as knew the X-rays would cost so much so went with some arthritis treatment which didn't work. I rang the claim line again, and explained the situation and was told to go ahead as we could file another claim as it was a separate condition, something I wasn't aware of. The member of staff was very understanding and concerned for our dog. The X-rays were done next day and after rest and some slight treatment, he's back to his normal self. Thank goodness for the premium insurance package we opted for with AF! Every time I've called I have been reassured and they've been very patient with my questions and concerns. Both claims were settled with no trouble and paid direct to the vets. The fact that they also donate to animal charities is an added bonus!
