I have two dogs with animal friends and unfortunately both are undergoing a series of vets treatments. I have rung AF on a number of occasions as we have had MRI allergy tests and expensive medication to ensure they were fully aware in advance and that I was covered for the treatment proposed. I do find the clause about expected treatment to cost over £1000 inconvenient as it isnt always possible to know in advance and in an emergency especially out of hours the last thing I would be worrying about is the cost. I have not found any other company requiring this in advance this in advance. Fortunately this has not been a problem for me so far and I can only praise AF for their helpful staff questions answered with clarity and quick and full payment of all my claims so far.
