Worst pet insurance I have discovered

Problem company to deal with. They will find an excuse to refuse a claim.
My dog became ill and the vet treated her for a suspected condition of a blood problem, not cancer. This was a suspected haematoma, which the vet thought and hoped would correct itself with treatment. However my dogs condition got worse and she had to be put to sleep. Only in the final few weeks of our dogs life did the vet suspect it likely that it was a cancerous condition. We claimed only for the vet treatment prior to any suspected cancer. Despite there having been no proof that it was cancer at the time,the Animal Friends pet insurance still refused to pay the claim for vet treatment during the illness. They said there was an exclusion for cancer on the policy. However as the claim was made for vet treatment fees prior to any suspected cancer, we are now going to pursue the claim with the financial Ombudsman. I would certainly not recommend this company. After the stress we have had to go through with the loss of our beloved pet, the last thing we needed was hassle from the pet insurance people. Animal Friends, I think not.
