I ordered a Northern Ireland plate on 17th July, it's now 1 October and ... nothing.
I called the DVLA two weeks ago and they advised that no application or request concerning my existing number plate had ever been received and that contrary to the advise that it could take 28 days, that it actually takes 24-48 hours. I then rang the Northern Ireland DVLA and they advised once again ...no application or request concerning my purchased number plate had ever been received, they went further, they advised me that the purchased number was in use on another vehicle (they stated the model and colour) and was currently being driven on the road.
I called R4V with this information and they showed little concern and advised that they would look into it.
It's 9 weeks since my order and there have been numerous calls/emails - it's not a huge amount of money but I have wasted a huge amount of time and am also without a registration document for my vehicle and must now order a duplicate
I am currently pursuing a reversal claim with my card company.
why do ..
a) The credit card companies allow these people to be a merchants.
b) The office of Fair Trading do nothing - they should be investigating.
My advise, look elsewhere and for heavens sake don's be tempted to buy one of the cheap NI plates - you'll never get it!
Finally I would ask the owners of this site to investigate any positive reviews for this company to ensure they are genuine - given the number of poor reviews, they have good reason to do so and... according to their own terms, false reviews are illegal as is leaving a review for your own company - I wonder whether they really mean that
