“Reassure rip off”

I had an endowment Policy with reassure & the short fall when the policy was matured after 25 years was £20,000 my mortgage was only £40,000 when I contacted them their answer was hard luck. I cancelled my policy with them and asked for the money I had invested to be transferred into my bank Over a week later I received forms to sign & fill in sending them off over a week later, another form telling me my signature was not the same as of 15 years ago does it really matter when the money is… Read Full Review

“They would get NO stars if it was possible.”

I requested my entire pension pot to be paid to my bank account on the day of maturity. I filled in all the forms but they still had to ring me and ask questions already answered. I suspect they wanted to talk me out of releasing the money! To cut a long story short, they paid 2/3 of my pension pot into my bamk account over 2 months before the maturity date and I have not received 1 line of paperwork or explanation as to why, how much tax they have deducted and how much they have charged me… Read Full Review

“Deliberate time wasting nto retain funds”

Like most others I have found reassure use every trick in the book to delay releasing funds, the staff must be on a bonus scheme for every week of delay that they can manage. They are creative in the delay tactics they use, many of which are alrready mentioned. I Have formaly complained and asked for my final response then will pursue with the Ombudsman. Seeing this many terrible reviews does not exactly give me confidence in the proposed transfer of my pension from HSBC to Reassure......help!!

“Terrible Admin Dept ”

No problem with this company even cashing in the policy, problems abound with the admin dept who were required to send a simple form with 3 parts, but only sent one part. After many phone calls over a 3 week period I have been lied too, fobbed of with excuses and promises, 4 times I was told the remaining items were in the post, one time a bare faced liar informed me that HMRC had told reassure not to issue part 2 & 3 then 1 hour later I was told it was in the post. “AWFUL STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY”

My grandma has been trying to access her pension pot since March of this year. Every time she calls she is told a different story and they're going to extreme lengths not to pay out e.g. They need to have meetings with senior management to see if they're 'doing the process correctly' what a load of rubbish. All they have to do is take the tax off and transfer the funds to her bank account. All forms are in place, signed and STILL no money. I think this review has been written by the team at reassure. As far as I'm concerned my grandma has been trying to access her pension pot since March of this year. I have requested the forms to cash in one of my smaller pensions £13,000 Since March! I've been told so far (today is MAY 18th) "We sent wrong forms and had to recall them" "Government sent us wrong forms" All our printers have broken" "We've had a computer glitch" "We have a massive backlog" "YOUR forms are on their way and will be with you by MAY 11th"!! “Absolute no Reassurance”

I have 3 pensions with this company. For the last 2 years I have been having a problem with them. They are supposed to pay 2 of my pensions on the 1st of the month but never do. Secondly there should be a small increase on one of the policies each year but it always happens Late! Strange amounts of "compensation" arrive into my account with not a letter of explanation as to why. I have had flowers, a vase as well as £50! “pension payments when moving overseas”

I am retired and moved overseas in March 2014. I informed ReAssure in writing that I was moving abroad and gave them my address and my UK bank details because previously they sent me a cheque and I requested they pay direct into my UK bank. They sent a letter to my new address with the list of documents they required. This is for a £350 a year pension, paid every March. Avoid at all costs. I have never dealt with a more incompetent company. Refused to accept a Power of Attorney, everyone else I dealt with was no problem - banks, building societies even the taxman but not ReAssure! They should be prosecuted under the trades description act having a name like that - they do not 'ReAssure' anyone. “Just stopped paying ”

This is the second time they have just stopped paying my pension then when I contacted them I was given impossible tasks to prove I was still alive. I now live in Asia and they would only accept a European solicitors signing poof on my passport picture. “Customer Service = Constantly Shambolic”

Received cheque July 13 for policy cancelled and sorted 2009! No explanation despite constant phone calls (one stated miscalculation originally??!) and emails and now a complaint letter. Very nice to get money but it was part of a pension so why not transferred there as original sum was? (They caused a massive furore and delays sorting it all out then when they were Windsor Life) How do I know it's right now? “Delays and excuses”

I cannot believe that any company monitored by the FSA can behave like this! Initially, I was told that my pension lump sum could not be paid on the due date because it fell on a Saturday. I was assured it would be in on the following Monday. I phoned on the Moday to enquire why it was not in the bank. I was told it would be "processed tomorrow" and would take "a couple of days for it to clear". exactly the same experience. Sent the POA which had been accepted by everybody else but they refused to accept it. Dreadful company.
