“Absolutely dreadful”

My pension was transferred from HSBC to Re-Assure. I used to be able to check it on-line add funds and move money between funds on-line all in a matter of seconds. Now I have to have long tedious phone calls with written confirmation taking days to arrive. When it does arrive it is often out of date. Customer service has just ceased to exist. “Incompetence at its best....”

My HSBC Pension was transferred to ReAssure in 2015 and I was contacted early in 2016. My policy had been split into three separate policies with no explanation as to why this has happened despite numerous conversations. ReAssure have archaic systems, no ability to review the policy on line and confusing documentation that is not laid out in a simple manner. “Appalling Company”

HSBC transferred my wife's pension to this company. My wife and her employer both contribute into 3 funds. With HSBC we could check the website and see what units had been purchased and at what price each month. With ReAssure, there is absolutely no facility to check any of this information. There is no access via the web at all, and when you phone all they will tell you is how many units you have in total, so there is absolutely no way of checking what they have bought at what price each… Read Full Review

“Suddenly, when my annuity was due, I no longer existed!!!”

I have an annuity which should be paid into my account annually on 14th Nov. This year no payment arrived. I contacted them and was told that because they had written to me and I had not replied they had cancelled payment as they assumed I no longer existed (I never received the letter as I live in Spain and the postal service is abysmal). “HSBC sold my pension to Reassure with out my...”

HSBC sold my pension to Reassure with out my authority. Since the sale my pension as lost £7000.00 and counting. Reassure have delayed me taking my pension out for 4 months loosing me more money. After 20 plus years of growth on my pension. I am now faced with losses and inept customer service. “TERRIBLE AWLFUL STAY AWAY”

“How can businesses like this be allowed to trade?”

My 80 year old Mum is trying to get funds released to pay for her partner's funeral months ago. She is at her wits end with ReAssure, who are prevaricating and coming up with every excuse under the sun not to give her the money she is entitled to. “Massive amount wiped off and no explanation”

I had my pension with HSBC which I started when I was with my previous employer. I started trasferring process of that one to my another pension account my current employer provides when I was still with HSBC about a month ago. Then I received another form to fill out from ReAssure and the pension value on the form was £1,300 less than 1 month ago (when I checked with HSBC). Phoned up pension pot before being transferred £57,000 now wit ReAssure £52,000. No explanation same as you cannot understand where it has gone!
How on earth was this allowed to go through no-one could have investigated them thoroughly or they would have spotted the bad practise.
Just trying to work out what I do next!

I have written a complaint email to ReAssure and demanded explanation. I also told them that I was ready to report this to the Financial Ombudsman Service as the way they are conducting business is hardly acceptable. Not sure how much this helps but let's see.

My husbands pension pot has lost a fifth of its value in 4 months after being transferred front HSBC to reassure. They will not give any detailed explanation just that it's down to the ftse. Surely they must be more accountable than that?

“Devious and determined to mislead”

This is a company I wish I had never been involved with. I was introduced to them as a friend was employed there. I wish he had not been as I was persuaded to take two policies out and have regretted it ever since. I am out of pocket severely and also very worried how this will all affect my future. “Data protection”

I have had my HSBC pension moved to reassure and have just got their data protection statement. Nearly fell off my chair laughing, they basically want to pass my information onto selected third parties for processing and administering so they say, also may send my data out of europe. Wait for the cold calling calls. “Reassure rip off”

I had an endowment Policy with reassure & the short fall when the policy was matured after 25 years was £20,000 my mortgage was only £40,000 when I contacted them their answer was hard luck. I requested my entire pension pot to be paid to my bank account on the day of maturity. I filled in all the forms but they still had to ring me and ask questions already answered. I suspect they wanted to talk me out of releasing the money! To cut a long story short, they paid 2/3 of my pension pot into my bamk account over 2 months before the maturity date and I have not received 1 line of paperwork or explanation as to why, how much tax they have deducted and how much they have charged me… Read Full Review

“Deliberate time wasting nto retain funds”

Like most others I have found reassure use every trick in the book to delay releasing funds, the staff must be on a bonus scheme for every week of delay that they can manage. They are creative in the delay tactics they use, many of which are alrready mentioned. I Have formaly complained and asked for my final response then will pursue with the Ombudsman. No problem with this company even cashing in the policy, problems abound with the admin dept who were required to send a simple form with 3 parts, but only sent one part. After many phone calls over a 3 week period I have been lied too, fobbed of with excuses and promises, 4 times I was told the remaining items were in the post, one time a bare faced liar informed me that HMRC had told reassure not to issue part 2 & 3 then 1 hour later I was told it was in the post. “AWFUL STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY”

My grandma has been trying to access her pension pot since March of this year. Every time she calls she is told a different story and they're going to extreme lengths not to pay out e.g. They need to have meetings with senior management to see if they're 'doing the process correctly' what a load of rubbish. Whoever wrote this review has never dealt with ReAssure's customer service.
Their system is designed to delay and frustrate, presumably with the aim of holding on to your money for as long as possible.
The FCA had 2783 complaints against ReAssure in the 6 months from Jan to June 2015.
NB Someone called Lionel H. Amron was a financial advisor in the USA suspended for unauthorised transactions on a customer's account

I have requested the forms to cash in one of my smaller pensions £13,000 Since March! I've been told so far (today is MAY 18th) "We sent wrong forms and had to recall them" "Government sent us wrong forms" All our printers have broken" "We've had a computer glitch" "We have a massive backlog" "YOUR forms are on their way and will be with you by MAY 11th"!! “Absolute no Reassurance”

I have 3 pensions with this company. For the last 2 years I have been having a problem with them. They are supposed to pay 2 of my pensions on the 1st of the month but never do. Secondly there should be a small increase on one of the policies each year but it always happens Late! Strange amounts of "compensation" arrive into my account with not a letter of explanation as to why. I have had flowers, a vase as well as £50!
