Phoned today on behalf of my brother who is deaf and cannot enter into discussons on the phone.I asked about how to go about him taking some money out of his policy under the new rules and they said that we need to ask him some security questions over the phone. When i explained that he could not enter into discussions over the phone she said that they would phone back later to speak to my brother about his policy. Please do not use this company when I cashed my pension scheme in they told me I would get x amounth of money when the check came the amount was short i asked why one person said I had missed the deadline by 15 mins I complained the other person said there is no such thing ???????? I retired on 31st May this year knowing that my 'ReAssure' (where they got that name from I have no idea must have been a joke by someone at the company) pension would be paid monthly in advance on my retirement date. I received a letter early in the year to tell me my options and to 'do nothing' as they would contact me again 6 weeks before. “Life insurance ”

Sold me and husband life insurance more like a car sales man than anything but received a photo copy of a policy along with other photocopies rang legal and general to get online account set up never even heard of my reference number which was from reassured!!!!! “ReAssure (are NOT reassuring)”

I did not choose to deal with ReAssure, they took over the company which held my pension. Do not deal with them from choice. Delaying tactics, absurd reasons given for being unable to supply the information you need. In my opinion they should be investigated by the authorities. I saved for years, but ReAssure seem to be trying their utmost to ensure I get a miserable pension deal - and to delay me getting it for as long as possible! “My Endowment Drama!”

I had my endowment policy with a company called Alico since 1986. They were later taken over by reassure. So about 3 weeks ago I requested to surrender my policy. They sent me my surrender forms and I filled these out and sent it back to them specifying the account details (a Barclays account) I wanted my policy surrendered to. I called on 18th Feb explaining that I want to take my pension. At no time was I told that I had to have info sent first but on calling back was assured that I would have been. I know how you work, I had already gone through a smaller pension withdrawal the previous year. I now live in Spain so took over a month to get the ' info' letter. “Rip off Merchants, they need reporting to the FCA”

I had a pension transfered to this company and they have done nothing but loose money, I have six other pensions and everyone has made money, agree some not as much as other but ReAsure is the only one that lost money at a dramatic rate, personally I smell corruption and will now be taking it to the authorities DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY. I contacted Reassure late in 2015 with a concern I had over the payments from the DSS that had been credited to my pension fund when I was contracted out of SERPS. It appeared that the very first payment had been received but had not been credited to my fund as it didn't appear anywhere on the yearly statements. They gave me an answer but were not willing to provide any proof therefore I was not prepared to accept their explanation if they couldn't back it up with proof. “Reassure the Rip off merchants”

They managed to lose nearly 35000 (THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND) pounds of my pension. How long did it take them to achieve this? 10 years, 5 years? No, less than 5 months. That is more than 7000 (SEVEN THOUSAND) a month or about 240 quid every day, or about 35 every hour. The footsie index, by the way, in the same period went up, NOT down, by 90 points. “Total rip off”

Had a life policy taken out some years ago (over 35 years ), that they are now responsible for, about three years or so ago they wanted to more than quadruple my payments to continue cover or reduce my death benefits by almost 70%, couldn't afford the extra payment so, they reduced death benefit by almost 70%. Just had another letter they are doing the same again !!!!!. reducing my death benefit by nearly 70%. “Reassure fail to pay my pension ”

The anniversary of my annuity is 15 October. Regularly each year Reassure fail to make the monthly payment. Each year I comnlain & they tell me that I am an isolated case & that they are sorry that that they are late in payment. The truth is that they do not pay me unless I call them to remind them of their obligation. Now they have have failed to pay me my annuity payment due on 15 November. My father 95 with dementia, I am POA for him. Rang to ask Reassure to change my Dads address to his now Care Home. They asked for copy of my POA, I sent it in, they returned it to my fathers Care Home, not to my home address. Could of easily gone astray. Next after sending POA they wanted more identification. They wanted my Passport, driving license or similar, I said no way will I be sending my passport to an insurance company, so sent in a copy with Solicitors stamp on it. “There's every chance you'll die before they pay your...”

I have tried for over 3 months to obtain my modest lump sum from a company pension plan that was frozen when I left my first ever job after several years in the mid seventies. They have tried every trick and delay tactic you can think of. They drip feed documents they need completing. They have staff who will look into your case and will promise to phone you back but never do They like to have your email so you can fill in a survey but then never send anything. Totally agree! I called to say I wanted to take mine and as we now live in Spain it took over a month to get pw which was just info. Now been waiting 2 weeks for forms which were to take 5 to 7 days and now 5 to 10! It's a joke!

25 years ago I took out an endowment with a company which became Guardian, they then sold it to Reassure, I continued to pay each month, I had to chase them when the policy matured to get a final figure from them, which was a very large sum, getting them to pay this policy is proving to be a major task, I am now taking legal advice which is rapidly looking to become court action, they appear not to want to payout… Read Full Review

We are in the same boat as yourself. Today we are sitting waiting on them returning a call to us regarding the maturity documents which they say they have not received, but were sent back to them on 9 March. My husband has phoned and phoned and phoned and every time there is a different excuse. No one will return a call. We are just about at the end of our tether.
