These are really useful, and they work. I can't say that they are as thorough as using a wire brush/jag on a cleaning rod, but they're a whole lot quicker and cleaner and there's no chance whatsoever of barrel or crown damage due to over-enthusiastis scrubbing and wiggling a rod about.
Just load one as you would a normal pellet, aim it at a backstop and fire.
If you want to do a really good job, load one then drop some barrel cleaning fluid onto the back of the pellet and let it soak in for 5 minutes. Fire it, then put another dry one through.
Important- if you have a silencer, take it off, as the pellet expands considerably the moment it leaves the barrel.
