“Outstanding pellets and good VFM”

Defiant .177s made by a sister company of Promethius are a patented pellet design which comes in three sizes so you can chose the size that suits your barrel. The consistency from these pellets is such that I don't bother weighing them any more, they are 7.5 grains and I've never seen anything over half a grain difference, and that only rarely. With a BC of 0.0190 they fly nice and flat, a bonus for both HFT and hunting. If, like me, you don't have laser-rangefinder-eyes the difference... (read more)

I totally agree Sir, I also am a fan of the .22, 16gr, 5.52mm Defiant Ogives!, they totally changed my opinion on lead free pellets and I now use either those or lead 15,9gr, RWS super fields, depending on range/target and I get a better effective range with the lead free Defiant Ogives, probably because they have a better aerodynamic profile, (no "skirt" or "waist"), just a bullet shape with a very slight "flare" at the base and a very slight "ridge" just below the head, with the space in between solid alloy, the slight "flare" at the base is very thin and has a small hollow to allow the air pressure to expand this into the rifling, they are excellent pellets for 12ft/pnd rifles and have a very flat trajectory out to 35/40 meters, I swear by both the Defiant Ogive 16gr .22 lead free and the RWS super field 15.9gr .22 lead pellets using my early model HW77, peace
