“defult on file yet i paid on promise date??”

★☆☆☆☆

I took out a loan with wonga in July 2013 and repaid the loan on the promise date on my payday that same month yet i looked at my credit file and they have put on my file i have never paid it, i have complained and complained yet only now after the default is on my file its showing as settled however the default is still there, and i settled it in 07/2013 but they put settled date 02/2014

I have complained to the financial ombudsman i am very annoyed how can incorrect information be put on your credit file making me look like im a risk when in fact i am not

STAY AWAY from them, had it not been for them messing up my credit file then id have said they were OK but i don't think so

next step is watchdog and then the press if this is not resolved in the 28days i have given them

copies sent to wonga.com, financial ombudsman and credit ref agencies

Hi I'm currently going through a complaint with wonga. I took out a short term loan with wonga in June last year. Payed back on time! Applied for a personal loan with my back and was offered a much higher rate than offered slight alarm bells went off in my head I took the loan as I needed the money. I was declined a remortgage the following month unless I had 35% deposit. I went on my credit file to see wonga had place 6 months of missed payments and a default for £0! Please help how I can take this further and get compensation back for the inconvenience and thousands I've payed them in interest from previous loans. I have all the proof needed to show I wasn't late and the was a complete mess up on wonga behalf. I hope to hear from you soon.

First step complain to wonga(you can do it by email). give them 14 days after that, they will say takes 4 weeks to reflect on your credit file, check this and if it's still there then complain to the financial ombudsmen, and send them copies of statements and emails to and from, they auctioned it straight away and give wonga 8 weeks to correct it

I didn't use any template letters I wrote my own it will work, May I advise it's worth checking your file regularly I use callcreditcheck and I pay £12 a quarter for as many reports I wish and a free score rack month I check mine once a month just as well because some companies put incorrect info more than you would think.

Hope that helps
