I somehow ended up subscribed to this company when I was looking for a loan. They took 29.98 off of me which they point blank refuse to refund. They don't even offer anything for that money they take.

“How To Get a Refund LOANS DIRECT/ TRAKKIT.CO.UK”

written by kylesmith300 on 24/07/2015

Hi I recently fell for something on TRAKKIT.CO.UK and they tried to debit £15 from my account. I had never heard of this company before but after research they are linked to Loans Direct. Anyway here's what to say to them to get a refund :) First thing you need to do is contact your bank and tell them to cancel all payment and outstanding payments to TRAKKIT or LOANS DIRECT They will give you a Authorisation Code You can ask your banks to cancel they payments through your banks online help chat.

There is no point applying through these companies… They never deliver what you need!

The ONLY company I have applied through that gave me a good service and delivered the loan I needed was a company called Finance First.

They are not on Review Centre so I could not leave a review, but they are excellent. If you really do want financial support or a loan then definitely go to them – they have a 100% approval rate

Give your debit card details to this company AT YOUR PERIL. They will pass it on to an associate company called CT* TRAKKIT.CO.UK who will then take £8.99 a month from your account. YOU‘VE BEEN WARNED!!!

“Disgusting company!!”

written by on 05/01/2015

Long story but here goes. My work changed my pay from weekly to monthly right before xmas so I dint get paid till xmas eve, so I was looking for a short term loan to finish xmas shopping. I was redirected to the loans direct site (not the main page) had it redirected me to the main page I would have seen the £69.95 fee they charge. I entered my details so they could take 10p to verify me. Their site is not easy to use after this point and I just left it. I then found they had taken £69.85 from my account. I rang them immediately to get my money back. I eventually got through to a guy who said I was only entitled to £35 but because he thought I'd made a genuine mistake he offered me £50. Well that's a lie if I'd logged in and requested a refund that way I would only be £5 down not £20! I have since tried calling them and emailing them and the only reply I've had is they can't find my account on the system. NOT impressed!

“DO NOT DESPAIR!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Bella_bear84 on 03/01/2015

PLEASE READ THIS IN FULL!!! Apologies as it is very, very long... but I felt I had to detail my experience in full in order to help those in need. Please do not despair! I too stupidly felt at Christmas I could not afford to give my family the treats I felt they deserved and fell into the all-to-easy online pay day loan trap. Having bad credit I was redirected to this site... I shan't go into detail because if you are reading this you are all too aware of how this 'company' operates. As soon as I had put my details in (and rather stupidly didn't read the small print) I knew I had made a mistake... then after searching the company online I felt at my wits end. I emailed them straight away: December 10th: I am attempting to cancel my 'membership' before you charge me £69. I have tried online and to call you but to no avail. I'm sure you have heard this plenty of times before but your website is most certainly misleading. I had no idea I was signing up for 'membership' to anything as I was redirected to your website in an attempt to apply for a short loan. I shall keep a close eye on my bank account to ensure the £69 is not taken out and I will expect this membership to be cancelled immediately. Thank you in advance for you cooperation. Kind Regards, After realising I was dealing with a terrible company I thought I should step up my communication and copied information I had read on other websites: December 10th: Due to my concerns after visiting your website I contacted the Financial Ombudsmen straight away (thank goodness they were open till 8pm!) who informed me that as I had attempted to contact you immediately and coupled with the misleading nature of your application process (funnily enough, they are all too aware of your dealings) I should expect no funds to be withdrawn from my account. I was helpfully informed by them that if you have not actioned the cancellation outlined in my first email and do indeed go ahead and collect the £69.75 from my account then I am to contact them immediately and they will investigate the matter further on my behalf. I shall also inform you that I expressed to them my concern that I have already attempted to cancel via your 'transparent and simple cancellation process' without success; this too, they informed me, is a very common complaint and should be actioned by yourselves immediately by removing all of my details from your database. I have also been told to monitor my statements in case you or any of your affiliated companies attempt to take further funds from my account. I also read to them the Refund Policy detailed on your website; and again, they were already familiar with this! I was told to remind you of said policy: While we do everything we can to offer a quality and value for money service to our members, we are not perfect and don't always get it right. With that in mind, we at Loans Direct offer a simple and transparent refund policy. Any member who is not happy with the experience they have had with us is entitled to a full refund of their fee when requested at any time. If that member has also purchased other products or services from us, we will happily cancel any other services immediately and offer full refunds where appropriate. I will not attempt to call you as it would seem all attempts at this are fruitless. Please feel free to contact me via email or on xxx if you wish to discuss this matter further. I have been directed to forward a copy of this email to the Financial Ombudsmen should I not receive a reply. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, Kind Regards, I hadn't in fact spoken to anyone, but I crossed my fingers that this would work. I kept an eye on my bank account and nothing was taken out. However, at 4:00am my phone was constantly buzzing with message after message offering me loan after loan. This is not what I wanted. All day at work my phone was ringing constantly with calls from countless numbers. I felt utter despair. But no money had left my account; until 2 days later when Loans Direct took out 10p... but nothing else. But then on 19th December I noticed that a company called Credit Cleaner had taken £9.99. I thought I had been lucky, but obviously not. I called and called the number on Loans Direct's website but (as I'm sure you know) I couldn't get through. I'd read that this company was tied to other companies where they shared your details and just took money whenever they pleased... I'd read they had cleared one person of £500! I couldn't tell my partner what was wrong, I was snapping and we were arguing, that night I couldn't sleep a wink and I felt like I was going to have a stroke or something the anxiety and stress was so bad. I couldn't believe I had been so stupid. But he knew something bad had happened so I had to tell him. I was so embarrassed. But it really did help. It was his birthday for crying out loud! I felt that morning I had really ruined the day... but he helped me so much. I emailed again: December 20th: You have now not responded to my request to remove my details from your data base. I have now been charged 10p from yourselves for 'signing up' and have received countless unwanted calls and texts from loan companies. I have now been charged £10 from my bank account by an unknown credit card company and have an email from a company called Trakkit who are also now going to charge me for their 'services'. I have sought advice and your activities are misleading and fraudulent. I will attempt to call you again or give you the chance to call me on xxx to discuss this matter further. You have until Monday 4pm to do so. If not I will recontact the Financial Ombudsman to pick up this case as promised and you will then have to deal with them. And I will seek further legal advice as you should not be allowed to continue with your fraudulent business activities. Regards The company called 'Trakkit' had emailed me to say that my that my free trial had ended and I was now signed up to their credit report services... I'd attempted to log in to my 'account' without any luck so I had assumed this was just a spam email... until I searched them too! Turns out they take £8.99 a month + £1 a day for there services, so I could in any month end up paying them almost £40 a month! Speaking to my partner really did help me. I'd felt so lost. He told me to just get on the phone to the Financial Ombudsman to set the ball rolling, but I was worried it would take an age to get it sorted, if they even could... but he was so right. They were kind, helpful and understanding. The mess you find yourself in at the minute you are obviously partly to blame, but these companies prey on people using misleading tactics... and you must remember you are not alone. I'd read horrible things along the way telling me (and people like me who fell for this trap) that we are to blame totally, and we are wasting the time of people such as the F.O from helping those who really need help... but the more people complain about these shark companies the more irate people like the F.O are going to be about dealing with them and they will surely push for a crack down. They must be stopped. Please don't feel embarrassed about admitting your mistake. After speaking to F.O I sent another email: December 20th: To keep you informed I have now passed this issue to the Financial Ombudsmen who will now be making contact with you. Again, I have attempted to call you numerous times to discuss this matter but I am unable to go further than an automated service. I am urging you to take my details off of your data base as other companies are now removing funds from my account and they have also been reported. I understand that I have signed up for a service but I'm sure you are aware that it is grossly misleading and I have attempted to contact you through your given means without any luck in order to cancel 'membership' in the period outlined in your terms and conditions; now my details have been passed to third parties during this period I have attempted to make contact leading to them taking money from my account which I have not authorised. I will also be making contact with Action Fraud to report the activity on my account. Regards Then there was the issue of my bank. I'd so much that banks were telling people there was nothing they could do and turning them away because they had given those card details to the company themselves... and I believed this was only fair, as I had in fact given the details myself. And I felt so ashamed about having to go down in person and explain what had happened... so firstly I tried the phone to save face and embarrassment... but they weren't very helpful. I took my partner to literally boot me out of the door to face up to my responsibility! I'm very shy so the thought of going into the bank and explaining this farce to someone really scared me! But I'm so glad I did!!! I'm with Natwest and they couldn't have been more helpful! The gentleman dealing with me had told me he had literally just finished with a man with the exact same problem, but the companies had cleared him right out... and since such great amounts of money had left his account already it was going to be a bit harder to get it all back... but not impossible! He cancelled my card straight away and told me that Loans Direct had been trying SEVEN TIMES A DAY for the past 10 days to take £70 from my account!!! Fortunately the transaction had been blocked. He then put me in touch with the Fraud Department who were so helpful... and I got a refund of the £9.99 from Credit Cleaner... and the 10p from Loans Direct! And all further attempts of transactions from these companies were to be monitored and denied in the first instance. Remember when you signed up at Loans Direct? Did you go e the long number across the front of your card? This is like a shop or telephone transaction... it isn't a direct debit, it doesn't need your sort code and account number, just the details from the front, and that is how they and various associated companies can easily take the money from your account whenever they like. I'd urge you to go to the bank face to face... I'm so glad I did and didn't just leave it at the phone conversation, otherwise I would have been cleared out of my money and would have felt helpless. Your bank HAS to help you... there is other information about that online. If needs be, report your card as lost and wait for a replacement... then the card detail you gave will be void. Also, if your bank won't help in giving you a refund of anything already taken then tell them you want these companies to cease attempts on removing funds from your account and go down the Financial Ombudsman route of retrieving your funds. Once that card is cancelled and you have at least reported those companies as dodgy to your bank then they can't take any more. Here is the reply I FINALLY received from Loans Direct on 23rd December: Thank you for your email, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you. Having looked at your account history, I can see that you did not fully complete the application process for membership to Loans Direct - this is why you haven't been able to cancel an account. Although you completed the £0.10 validation check, you did not continue with the application. As such, your bank account will not be charged any subsequent fees by us, although the validation fee may still be collected. If an amount has been debited from your account, you will need to contact the company name that is showing on your bank account statement. I trust this clarifies matters, however if you do have any further queries, please do not hesitate to respond and I will be happy to answer them for you. Kind Regards Loans Direct Customer Service ABSOLUTE CRAP!!! As you know, my bank told me they had in fact attempted several times a day for over almost 2 weeks to take the £70 from me, without luck. But at least that was them dealt with. See how quickly they respond after you come down heavy on them with the facts. As you can see in my correspondence with them I wasn't rude or too insulting, they are used to hearing this stuff and they will try their hardest to keep your money by any means, but you do have options... please don't attempt to tackle them yourself... people are there to help, and they will... you just need to pick up the courage and not be embarrassed. As for Trakkit... they did manage to take £8.99 from my account even after my card was cancelled... but a quick call to Natwest Fraud Team and it was dealt with immediately. Apparently that was pending before my card was cancelled, so you may want to ask your bank what else is pending on that account when you cancel your card so that can be rectified also. But I still sent Trakkit an email: I have not subscribed to your services and attempts to log in to my 'account' have failed, which is not surprising as I have not signed up for it. Your company has fraudulently been passed my details by either Loans Direct or Goldfish Finance who also have acquired my details fraudulently. I shall urge you to remove my details from your database and cease removal of funds from my bank account as the Financial Ombudsmen is now dealing with these two companies and both have been reported to Action Fraud, and unless you would like me to pursue this route with you I shall expect no further financial dealings with your company. I do not require your services and I have not signed up for such. I am in contact with my bank's Fraud Team and I have reported you to them and requested a charge back, which I have successfully received from the other two aforementioned companies. I thank you in advance for your cooperation. Please feel free to contact me on the email address supplied if you would like to discuss this matter further. Kind Regards To which they rather swiftly replied: Dec 30 09:29 Hi, Thanks for your E-mail. Trakkit is often offered to people who have been looking for finance and may have been declined. As a result, you may have opted to sign up for a subscription to Trakkit when you applied for a loan with another company. We can however, confirm that your account has been cancelled and a refund has been processed. Please allow up to 7 working days for the payment to appear in your account. Many Thanks Customer Services Trakkit The money was refunded by my bank. I seem to have come off lightly in this mess, for which I am thankful for, but please don't bottle this up and feel like you do not have help. And again, I apologise for the length of this message, but I really felt I should share my experience as concisely as possible as I really feel it will help those who were stung like myself. DON'T tackle them on your own. They will try every trick in the book. DON'T wait to act. Be as quick as possible. Do not wait for them to clear you out before you start the ball rolling. They have your details. They WILL try. Don't be fooled. DON'T feel embarrassed. You made a mistake. I'm not a total idiot... but I really did feel like it after putting my details in! They DO operate a misleading company preying on those in need of a quick fix. They don't care what problems you have and why you are in financial difficulty... they just want to exploit that. DO report them to all the relevant people. Your bank. The Financial Ombudsman. Action Fraud. Local newspapers. National newspapers. Watchdog. On topics boards. Share your experiences. This should not legally be allowed to happen. The more complaints, the more the right people will feel the need to listen. A despicable trade that should have no power. Help in stopping it now!

NO STARS IF I COULD!!! had £69.99 taken out of my account. took me 4 days to get a response and was told would get a refund -£5 within 30 days. its now 40 days and I have send 10 emails a day and no resonse. the phone number every option directs me to email and then hangs up. I have never been able to talk with anyone from them. I notice that on all the review sites they only respond to possitive feedback which TBH the review is put on by them. I have reported them to action fraud and will continue to email and write everyday and am now charging them late payment fee which I will go throught courts to get if i have to.

Guys please do not enter this company  like everyone else my trusting human nature got the better of me and I first got charged 70 and then 190 for activation and then charged 240 and they said these are all refundable. They then charged me asupposedly late fee which I stupidly paid. The last straw was that they wanted 90 and i finally woke up and said no and so they said they would only refund 230.....please check the reviews and do not give your bank details to any one on phone or otherwise it's a proper company.

written by shellbells1973 on 12/11/2014

Does anyone have the contact details for the financial ombudsman? i would really like to contact them, i have had the same problem as everyone else, its appalling these people are still allowed to trade!! 10p i can live with but almost £70??? if i could afford that amount of money to pay someone else to search for a loan for me then i would need one in the first place! its a no brainer really! these people are preying on vunerable people who have little or no money and putting them deeper into debt, its bad enough that pay day loans charge the massive interest rates that they do without sharks like these waiting in the wings too! i mean if you had a pay day loan for £100 you would most likely have to pay approx £125 back, so £100 minus the £25 interest is £75 then these people take £70 of that which means affectively you only get £5 of your loan!!!something needs to be done about this a quick!

I was enquiring about a short term loan to get repairs done to my car when I come across these people it stated clearly on the mobile site 10 pence would be taken from my debit card for a credit check and nothing more, I had no issues with that my fault for not reading the small print but as it said only 10 pence will be taken I wasn't worried then before I could blink 69.75 was taken from my account which screwd me big time had to miss a payment on my car insurance because of them. I tried calling and all I got was some sarcastic sounding answer machine asking to email them which I did I got no reply for weeks then a friend said mention the financial ombudsman which I did in a different email straight away I got a reply saying they have processed my refund which will be with me in 5 to 7 working days I finally got my refund today minus 5 pounds administration fee I was happy to get most of it back so they can choke on the fiver they kept. remember mention the ombudsman otherwise they will ignore your attempts to email them hoping you will give up . They need to be shut down now! with Xmas coming up I'm sure they will be conning plenty of desperate people looking for loans!!

Hi There cuPugh339 i have had the same trouble, i emailed them as when i tried to call them there is no actual option to be put through to an advisor AT ALL! its either email there support email or send a message, the message system does not send by the way, i have tried it on 3 seperate PC's and a tablet and it jut freezes when you click submit! the website tells you that you can apply for a refund online but when i tried to log-in surprise surprise it does not recognise my log-in details! (which i know are correct, i use the same one for everything!) when i try to change my password this also freezes, the robbing so and so's made it very simple to take my money though, i have had no response from my email, i did not mention the financial ombudsman but i did say i would be complaining to the FCA if i do not receive a refund, this clearly has not worked, can i possibly ask for a copy or draft of the letter you sumitted to them as this clearly worked for you and i am getting no where! :( many thanks in advance

“Rip off”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Gabriellar33 on 06/11/2014

I fell for the tricksters and they ring fenced nearly £70, called Barclays and they said contact the company and they cancelled my debit card. Like everyone else, I tried e-mailing them, phoning them and wrote a letter to them every day. Yesterday the money went back into my account and then I had a couple of e--mails back saying different things but at least I got my money back. So may people are being shafted by them and yet they continue to do what they're doing, if it was a one off and a few people had done it then I'd call it stupidity but it can't be everyone elses fault. They need closing down and/or to make it clearer they will charge you all this money.

just had the exact same thing happen to me wish i had read the review before i applied.I am not happy about how they go about things, i wanted a loan of £100 and the loan i applied for said there was no hidden charges, the only thing i had to pay was the interest at the end of the month with the £100 -- the loan with interest which would be £125 in total. plus 10p for bank verification Then at the end of filling all the forms in, SURPRISE SURPRISE they CHARGE ME £69.75P AND TOOK IT OUT MY BANK BEFORE I COULD BLINK. !!! Do you really think i could afford that it has left me in a worst position than i was before. I STILL DO NOT HAVE A LOAN NOR DO I WANT ONE NOW. SO COULD YOU PLEASE REFUND ME MY £69.75p Back ASP? ps, you cannot get in touch with them by phone or by mail

I reported  my dear group credit account to them that they claim was adopted and has been withdrawn from my account for £69.75 but I do not see a reputable credit amount in my account! Question is when would I receive my credit?

These guys do not lend you money there a trick membership service that recommends other lenders to you. You need to write them a letter immediately or they will continue to keep taking money from your account as a membership fee...this is what you need to do send them a letter address is on there website send it RECORDED DELIVERY (keep a copy) to request they cancel and refund your money threaten them with charging it back and they will refund it I would contact your card issuer and cancel your card straight away so no more funds can be taken. I was dooped into thinking the same as you don't bother trying to ring them you can't cancel over the phone if they even answer it.
