Shocking place my hubby bought earing secondhand only weigh 2.1 grams they charged him 105.00 if they were 18ct but no its 17.35 per gram but they say they sell 33.75 a gram yeah maybe 18ct still doesn't work out my earing are only worth 40 pound. I took them back still in proper condition and the same way my partner bought them. As I knew straight away they weren't even worth the money. And my receipt states on receipt new gold you can't return but nothing about secondhand which mines where

In 2018 my items we're in the hammersmith king st store i was an in patient at the time the so called manager took my money for my jewellery but he'd taken my items for self gain i wasnt offered no compensation no appollergie no good will gesture i lost an item that my at the time recently departed mother had given to me she had it made bespoke. I received not a whisper of what truly had happened to my items a solicitor friend of mine said that a crime was committed and i should've called the police.

Don't trust this company!! They have sold 6 items of jewellery to an auction On 6 different contracts and 6 different items ranging from £100 to £400 all items were sold in auction. The fishy thing is all 6 different contracts ended being £10.26 in deificiet. That's like winings the lottery. What are the chances of all 6 items sold at different prices leaves £10.26 in deificiet. I made a complaint to h&t and asked to see the statements off goods that were sold to prove they haven't messed about with the figures. I was told by a manager that he will need about 1 week or 2 to gather the statements together from auction. The funny thing 1 month later I get a final response letter from h&t saying we are not obliged to show you proof of sale of your goods. Now work it out for yourself I say this company is messing about with figures and blatantly robbing me and probably loads more customers. I'm starting court action I'm bypassing the ombudsman going for cutthroat straight away. My advice is stay away from h&t as there unfair and not straight. I came into difficulty and pawned my goods and couldn't afford to pay back in time. But this doesn't give h&t the right to give me made up paper work showing under sold jewellery. This is corrupt and I will go through every possible way to expose this to the public.

I went into the Ilford branch of H&T ,today to pawn my partner's dad's gold cufflinks. I was quoted a reasonable price to pawn by the lady and my partner was happy with the price , as I was . She was very pleasant and professional and explained everything clearly. Many thanks.

Been a customer with H&T since 2016. My credit score was low and was accepted for a loan which I paid off in 2017. I took out another loan in November 2017 of £1200 total to repay back was £2901 and I have £900 left to pay. Since July 2018 to Dec 2018 each time I applied for another loan and clear the existing loan I’ve been declined. Could not understand why when payments get paid on time and credit score is much higher. I don’t want to apply again Incase I get declined. My credit score is so much better than 2016/2017. Payments paid on time and look how much I’ve paid off from the balance £2901 when the loan was £1200. H&T should take into account on how much I’ve paid and promptly and explanation why I’ve been declined since July 2018 to Dec 2018. Very unhappy existing customer

READING OXFORD RD/MALL H&T STORE. RAY H. SEPT applied for loan in store.Took 2 hours collating all relevant paper work from bank, and print outs from library ect. After completion in the shop told I would be contacted.Shop called, declined.Shortly after, call from London,due to a returned direct debit try again in 30 days. Told apart from that everything else was fine,and rating is good. Returned Mon 16/10 a.m. same procedure, repeat as before, all statements intact and no issues.Shop again told me they would contact me shortly. London calls again,looking through paperwork maybe another issue,but continuing to look at paperwork. Today is Wed 18/10 and neither shop or London have had the courtesy to inform me if I have wasted my time again. Monthly income £2,750 all relevant id's and paper work intact. I am sure I will get satisfaction elsewhere,and of course good customer service would be very nice. Not a Satisfied customer.

I used to love the Birkenhead shop always go for my holiday money and I buy quite a lot around Christmas but the place isn't the same anymore they don't have music on so it's like a hospital waiting room and the staff keep changing there used to be a lovely lad there he's left and now one of the girls is leaving. We used to be able to chat with them all and now it's very robotic and that horrible one is still there with the attitude problem, who looks like she would rather be doing anything else in the world than serve you. I don't know it's just very sad now good people go and times change but it's such a shame it used to be a great friendly shop I loved going there.

I WENT TO MY LOCAL H&T PAWNBROKERS ON LONDON ROAD TOOTING, THE STAFFS THERE WHERE VERY HELPFUL AND EXPERIENCE IN WHAT THERE WERE DOING, AND THE TRANSACTION WAS FANTASTIC, THEY MADE MY WEEKEND WITHOUT ANY DOUBT. I LIKED EVERYTHING, THE STAFFS WHERE VERY HONEST, VERY CLEAR AND PRECISE, AND COVERED ALL AREAS INCLUDING MY CANCELLATION RIGHTS.

I shop around most of the Liverpool stores and sometimes grab bargains I can sell on. I am usually seen by a lady who is lovely very helpful knows a lot about her watches and a young gent, but I've not seen him for a while now. Last time I was served by another lady and it was a different story she was blunt she hardly spoke a word to me she was l was asking her questions about price movement she just said NO. I always haggle but the response was so angry never the less I carried on looking but just felt really awkward and just wanted to leave then. The shop was silent no music or tv playing so that already made it uncomfortable but she was unnecessary. I did then leave and headed to the Whitechapel branch to see a lady who is always a great help. I probably would t use the Birkenhead shop again now if she was there because I just begrudged spending large sums of money with someone who will probably make commission off my sale when then simply don't deserve it. I'm not bitter I just think that if you are planning to spend a few hundred pounds then I do expect some basic level of happy service.

I took my late wife's jewellery into the Preston shop and received 4 times what I expected.The 2 ladies were really professional and could not have been more pleasant. I was extremely happy at the price I got and would recommend the Preston branch to anyone. The shop was spotless and comfortable,a truly good experience,and the money I received was a great surprise. I have been using the Birkenhead branch for some 2 years now and It has been hit and miss in there. I use the shop for money swapping to euros and to be fair most of the staff are great. Young woman with glasses, she is very nice and chatty and what you expect a gent with brown hair also chatty and friendly however there is another side that lets the lot down. Alesha a short girl did not understand me simply asking for money and really confused me but I could see she is new to the job perhaps I may be being a little harsh however I have had several run ins with and each time she has been rude and dismissive I see her chatting to other people in the shop so I don't know if it may be something against me but yet again I'm old enough to be her mothers So she should have manners and respect I had to make a call to head office last week because she shouted to the other workers WHY DO PEOPLE LOOK AT ME LIKE IM A EFFING RTARD this struck a cord with me my brother has developmental delays and I was very angered so I rang the main department but they didn't seem at all bothered. I have not been in since and I don't think il return again for the sake of saving a few pence I'd rather save my pride and not let people make me feel that annoyed. I would avoid that place at all costs now

I have been a customer of h & t jewellery store in Bootle new strand since the store opened , and have never been happy with the level of customer service I received , the staff have no time to help , and have extremely bad attitudes ,out of all of the staff there is only one woman with blonde hair that has great customer service skills and is always smiling and happy . I will not be returning to this store again You have now lost a valued customer
