I have just started my claim with Gladstone Brooke's and so far I can't fault them. The chap I spoke to made everything clear, including explaining that I could make the claim myself at no cost. All of the paperwork arrived a couple of days later with 25 different claim forms, again all of the paperwork stated that I could make these claims myself. OK I could have done this myself and saved myself a 30% fee but if I was going to I would have by now so My 70% is better than I would have got. Yes… Read Full Review

Ok so I saw the advert and thought I would phone to see if they could help me, the lady on the phone was really nice went through everything with me and sent me the paperwork to sign and return. I did this and waited to hear, I then started to receive letters advising me that they had forwarded my complaint to the relevant companies. “Informative and helpful”

I found that Gladstone Brookes were extremely helpful and professional. During the claims process I was updated regularly and payments were chased up by them. Nothing was left to chance. They even found loans that I had forgotten about and all claims were successful. It was a change to find a company who delivered what they claimed in their advertising. Just had a call from GB claiming I had filled the claim form in wrongly . Similar call a few weeks ago claiming the bank who I was claiming against had no record of my account , could I provide account numbers ? Strange , either they have no authority to approach the bank on my behalf because of a wrongly filled in consent form or they have a correctly filled in form which enabled them to learn the bank had no record of an account number . Having taken a battering during the recession, with my source of income ruined, and a 'low risk bond' disappeared to infinity, I was reaching a very desperate financial situation. I was well aware of the charges, Airroam. If the banks had any ethics left, and didn't think it was a county east of London, they'd have done all the confessing in the first place and merely placed the mis-taken money in my account. But they haven't, didn't, and won't. I would have had to have proved to the bank every loan and PPI I'd been missold in the past and gone through endless bureaucracy with them - or it, in my case - Barclays. All agencies charge a fee for services provided - so what? If you don't want to clean your house, you can hire a cleaner through an agency, you can't do a DIY MOT on your car (you must use an approved garage), and so on. The least of my concerns, after the amount of financial stress I'd suffered, was worrying about a cut from an agency to do all the donkeywork for me and get a result in a very short space of time. Try getting any service out of your bank when they're in the wrong - try getting them to admit they're wrong in the first place!

I started my PPI Claim in late October. Once I sent in the forms they rang to say I had 2 other claims going through as well as the 2 claims I knew about - so I sent them back too. After that I heard nothing from Gladstone Brooks (even tried to contact them myself - was told the person I needed to speak to had gone home). Update - Sent a very strongly worded email about their lack of service - received a call back - strangely they received the cheque yesterday (10/2/14) yet no-one could be bothered to tell me that.

I was then told the Cheque will take 10 days to clear into their business account ??? WHAT??? Then it will take a further 5 days for them to BACS it - what a joke - I can expect to receive my money on 1st March!!! REALLY !!! Funny how when you owe them money they want it IMMEDIATELY yet you are expected to wait 2 MONTHS for yours.....

I really am not impressed.

“good company to use, very happy”

We chose to use gladstone & brookes because we had heard about them from their adverts on television and decided that they seem like a reputable company. Overall we were very impressed and happy with the money that we were able to claim back off the bank. The young lady that I dealt with on the phone was also very professional and explained everything that was going on in plain english and wasn't pushy with us at all. “Harassment for unpaid ppi via text”

I have 3 claims going through / agreed pay outs with Gladstone Brookes at the moment, And there is hardly a day goes past without a phone call or text from them. The text reads that they are aware the bank has paid me (they have not) and i must pay them within 7 days. My message to Gladstone Brookes is instead of bombarding customers with demands for fictional cash get on the phone/email/letter to the bank and earn your whopping 30% cut. “Worst Service Ever”

I rang GB after seeing their advertisement on TV - they were polite and helpful and sent forms etc for me to complete and sign within a few days. I requested they take their fees prior to me receiving a settlement. This was where the good service stopped. put in a claim 2 months back at an initial cost of £10 for some sort of credit report (thought it was free to put this in but seems not) then I find out they charge over 30% IN FEES.. absolutely disgraceful.. I've contacted them numerous times on the state of my claim and they keep palming me off with some nonsense about it being the banks fault? Avoid GB at all costs. I had a feeling I was due a rebate for PPI. As soon as they get hold of even your telephone number they HOUND you......... They are literally relentless. In the end I decided it wasn't worth it and told them to stop pursuing all cases on my behalf. Both by telephone and by not returning their countless letters threatening to end their involvement. After approaching Gladstone & Brookes I was under the impression they would act quickly to get the PPI back. How wrong was I. I waited two years and then thought I would speak to HSBC myself. 1 month later had an offer direct from HSBC. I spoke to Gladstones and they tell me I have to pay them anyway. Where to start with Gladstone Brooke's,they hound you with texts and call as soon as they get a result. The staff are rude especially a girl, she should be sacked , no people skills at all. Has a successful PPI claim with Gladstones. Firstly they tell you it takes 8 weeks but it actually took more than 6 months. Once you send them that form with permission to process your claim the customer services is diabolical. When I finally received notification from my bank I was to receive the PPI back I was overjoyed.
