Called in with friends for a quick sandwich and a pint but there were no sandwiches on the menu. There was either an expensive bowl of watery soup accompanied by two minute pieces of bread (which we chose as a poor second-best) or alternatively a ten-quid, two course lunch which wasn't what we wanted.
The welcome was warm and friendly and the bar had a good selection of beers available. Such a pity that the managers of this nice village pub aren't prepared to offer a better choice of food.
