Don't anyone buy the Lamona range of ovens The inside glass has shattered twice with me now and for no obvious reason Howdens blamed it on' maybe the kids laid something on and so there may have been a hairline fracture" !!!!!!! Gave benefit of doubt but almost a year to the day it happened again and it's £100 for the new glass !!!!!!
So surprised that Howdens put their good name to such appliances .Im going to take this further so no one else purchases this range again.

Glass in ovens shatter because of a manufacture defect. When the glass is formed there can sometimes be microscopic sized air bubbles left in the sheet as it cools. When the glass heats up, the air inside the tiny bubble warms and expands therefore causing the glass to shatter. This is an issue for every single oven manufacturer on the planet. You will usually find that if the glass is going to shatter it will happen early into the use of the appliance. Howdens now give a 5 year guarantee against such an issue.
