Same as other comments. Ordered a game and no delivery. Luckily they haven't Aiken any money yet but will inform the bank not to allow them at a later date. They have ignored my e mail and there is no way of contacting them from their website, no phone number or e mail address and when you press contact us or customer services nothing happens! Bad job. It would appear that theboardgamers.co.uk are still 'operating' but failing to deliver on goods or anything else. I checked for seller ratings before purchasing and somehow missed this page which means I place an order on the 29th March and, like most pothers here, am waiting on something that will probably never arrive and hoping no money is removed from my account. As everyone else seems to have found, no game has arrived. No money was taken however (I was a bit suspicious when the payment page didn't take me to 3D secure!) I'm just trying to bump up the review numbers because there weren't enough reviews for the star rating to show up on the google shopping page, which is what I used to find the company, and if I'd seen the rating I might have thought twice! I ordered the game using my debit card which worried me as I usually use pay pal. It was for £18.00 it stated the payment had not gone through, but all my details were on the page not **** in the place of numbers. I emailed them twice with no reponse. Ordered a few games off of their website. I received an email confirming the order. It's been a while, no money taken (thankfully) and no goods delivered. I sent a question to them regarding this but I didn't hear from them. Very thankful no money has been taken, I don't hold out hope for a miracle that my goods will materialize. (read more)

Tried to buy a couple of games from them, fortunately using PayPal. My money got taken instantly, I then received an email saying that my payment could not be processed and that I wouldn't be charged. I then received another email which was basically a credit note, from which a 'fee adjustment' had been taken, but am yet to get any refund. Fortunately I can claim the money back with PayPal, do not give your bank details to this website!! (read more)

I 'bought' two games-mainly because the one was out of stock and they were both cheaper there but had to rush round at the last minute to get replacement gifts. Cheaper prices, free shipping and all items in stock???? seemed like a no-brainer!!!! Site looks professional too. Try to click contact us though and you will find it a different story. Report these people to Trading Standards asap. (read more)

Ordered the Cube board game after reading positive results (seems to be after I ordered the negative reviews appeared) and am still waiting on the game arriving - not hopeful now! My review below "No sure if they are genuine” has the details. The sellers PayPal account shows an incorrect URL (for a game shop in Stoke) and hotmail.com e-mail address.

Order placed, confirmation e-mail received then nothing. The PayPal business URL given is not for the Board Gamres but a game shop in Stoke (who were totally bemused when called them), leading me to think all is not what it seems. Also Business e-mail address on Paypal is a personal hotmail account not a business e-mail address. Have raised a dispute with payPal as I do not believe I will be getting my game. (read more)

Terrible service would definitely not recommend! I bought the Cube board game from the site but a week later and it still hadn't arrived. I had an email when I first bought the game stating that they would send through the tracking number when they sent the item but it never came. I wrote an email to Rhys (the contact on the email) to ask when it would be dispatched and 3 days later I still had no reply. I also wrote to customer service to try to chase it up but again received no email... (read more)

Thought I'd post a comment since it seems like a few people are having the same issue--
I've rang up trading standards today to report theboardgamers. They said that until 30 days after the order was placed then the company are technically not in breach of any laws however if you have not received your items after 30 days from your order then you can report them. The telephone number is 08454 040506

Thought that I should comment as it seems like several other people have had the same issue as myself-
I rang up trading standards this morning - they said that until 30 days after the order then the company is technically not in breech of any laws. If it has been over 30 days then you can report them and get some advice about how to proceed, their telephone number is 08454 040506
I'd also recommend ringing up your bank to let them know what's happened just in case
