“Ticket Duplication and No Resolution from viagogo”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ugFitzpatrick467 on 13/02/2016

Just to preface this, I NEVER write negative reviews about companies. But my experience with viagogo pushed me to warn others...

I bought two tickets off viagogo for the Champions League match in Madrid for May 15, 2015. They were 122 euros each face value and I paid over 300 euros each on viagogo. When we went to enter the stadium with the tickets, apparently two people had already entered the stadium with these tickets. I emailed and called viagogo the next day and was told they would "investigate". After following up numerous times, I kept being told they were still investigating. I followed up again this month (year!) and received a reply that because more than two weeks since the event had passed, the warranty period for filing a complaint had closed and there was nothing they could do.

Their customer service is terrible - they promise a reply within 48 hours of emailing them and I often waited weeks. This was a large sum of money to just throw away (especially when I was a student in a foreign country) because viagogo doesn't want to put in the effort to correct failures in their process.

DO NOT use viagogo. And tell others not to either.

I am so glad you posted this review! I had a similar experience on 13/2/16. I had two tickets to a concert in London, purchased from Viagogo. The only London concert for Joe Jackson and the last date of a UK tour. Joe Jackson hasn't played in the UK for years. A friend came from Southampton to attend! And when we got there, someone else was booked in the same seat numbers. Their customer service is terrible!

I don't know what their concept of customer service is...they offered me a refund on the tickets as if that can wipe away their appalling actions.

When I called them today, someone asked me if I had had a £50 voucher for future viagogo purchases! I hadn't had a voucher and frankly I don't want anything connected to them.

I asked him why I would want to ever purchase anything from them again, given their history but that is all he would offer. Then he cut me off and emailed me a sent me a voucher for £50 with an expiry date of 14/2/16 ...when I called the agency on 16/2/16.

Viagogo means Via -don't go....They don't care and their customer service even when you get through is appalling. They just offer you a paltry amount which ties you in to doing more financial transactions with them.

I would NEVER purchase anything from Viagogo again.
