Good value for money & problem sorted out efficiently

Bought some last minute tickets to the capital FM summertime ball. I paid for 3 tickets that went through and the price I paid was reasonable given that it was a sold out event and so last minute. Unfortunately, although the payment had gone through, I was phoned up the next day by double8tickets who informed me that two bookings had gone through simultaneously and that they would have to honour the first booking (for 4 seats) as opposed to my booking (for 3 seats) as the former had gone through first. They told me that there were only 2 tickets available. It was a real shame as I had to then choose between my niece and nephew. They told me that I would receive a full refund for the third ticket and could offer me a small compensation for the inconvenience. I decided to go for it and take my niece (I promised my nephew a different treat). The lady at double8tickets was helpful and literally ran to post out the ticket in time for my niece’s birthday the following day. All in all, although it was disappointing I couldn’t get the 3 tickets, they dealt with the issue effectively and appropriately. On this basis I would use them again. However, I would suggest that some alterations need to be made to their system if more than one individual is booking the same ticket(s) so that only one transaction goes through as opposed to all of them which won't lead to customer disappointment. Ironically, at the event there were 4 empty seats for the duration of the entire day!! – the people who stole the third ticket from me didn’t even turn up!
