“Charges are not transparent”

★★☆☆☆

written by guyhigby on 21/07/2014

I paid just under £18 for 6 credits, which I feel is expensive. I got some useful information for 2 of those credits. Then 2 credits were eaten up in providing me with a search which I did not ask for. The web-site had substituted an unwanted initial letter for the known first name. When I complained, the company rang and insisted that no refund of credits could be made. Buyer of credits, beware!

Very similar to my experience. In fact I would give NO stars whatsoever.
I had already lost half the units because 192 charged me for merely browsing a surname whilst registered into my account. I was totally unaware of this until too late. Then next day, I thought I'd be careful and browse a name WITHOUT registering into my account, when suddenly I saw that they had automatically recognised my computer and I had been charged the remainder credits : so, nearly £18 for absolutely NOTHING. Very poor show. I am closing my account. However, I find that there is at least one other search company online that does not malpractice.
