I recently ordered a frameset from Triton Cycles. But was unsure of a few details and availability. Within 1/2 an hour of my email, I had a response, answering my questions, and was told the frame was in stock. That has to count as one of the quickest response times I've had, especially from a bike shop/company. Forgot to say. Built up the new bike with old and new parts last night, and took it out for it's maiden voyage today.

The Disc Trucker gives a really solid ride, especially compared to my road bikes - even when fully loaded. And doesn't seem as heavy as my other steel framed bike.

Got some favourable comments from other cyclists in passing too - including hardened roadies!

Not sure why the reviews on here are so mixed but I ordered my bike on Monday evening and it arrived on Wednesday morning. Quick search on Google showed that it was the best price on the internet by a long way (50% off as it was 2012 colours - which in my opinion are better than the 2013!) and also free delivery to sweeten the deal even more. “Avoid”

Avoid. Ordered parts from them via their web site a month ago - and I still haven't received them. My e-mails have gone unanswered. I have made many phone calls to them and have been promised that the parts have been despatched (including duplicate packages) but they have not arrived with me. Promised return phone calls have not been made to me. No explanation, or even anything really resembling an oology, has been forthcoming. Initial parcel sent within 48 hours of order, unfortunately this has gone missing in the post with Royal Mail and we are now in the process of making a claim for this parcel.

Replacement parcel requested but unfortunately one of the items ordered had sold out in the meantime so replacement could not be sent.

Refund issued immediately, as for no apologies - this is not true. I am sorry that we haven't been able to complete your order and I stressed how sorry we are on the telephone to you this morning.

I'm willing to accept that my 'no apology' comment is harsh and put it down to my grumpiness at having to call you one more time.
You've missed some detail. You actually sent me two parcels (the original order and a replacement), and not counting the third that wasn't despatched because of no stock (something that I was not informed of).
I buy a lot of items on-line and I haven't had an experience elsewhere like this form yourselves.
I sent two e-mails after the non-arrival of the initial order which went un-replied. A promised phonecall to me (you were going to check with your warehouse) I think around the time of the first replacement package, was not made and I had to call again to chase.
You have, however, been very pleasant to deal with on the phone.
I don't wish your business any ill-will but this was an extremely frustrating experience and not one I wish to repeat.

“Problems with returns”

Returned a faulty brake handle to them. The fault had caused some other damage on the handle through use and they claimed that the other damage meant that the fault was not a warranty issue (even when the fault was clearly the cause of the other damage). I did get a clear email exchange with them (although I had to prompt them once I had returned the item since I did not hear much from them after the return). Customer was happy with this bike for almost 2 years and unfortunately broke a small component part when attempting to service the bike.

Unfortunately the warranty doesn't cover damage caused by mis-use or neglect as was the case here.

Really disappointed with this lot. Order confirmed for a pump and bib shorts. Waited several weeks- nothing Emailed them- nothing! Then two weeks later as I had received a package, which was left at the post office that i couldn't reach and thought it may have been them- it wasn't! An email was sent to you within 48 hours of your order to explain that unfortunately the items you had ordered were sold out.

Always best if you don't hear from us within a couple of days to give us a call as we do aim to process all orders within 1-2 days, don't leave it so long to get in touch! :)

Placed my order a week ago, haven't received any confirmation of my order dispatch, phoned them up with inquiry about it. They told me that it has been sent out yesterday and is on its way,but no email notification about dispatch. Still waiting, product was in stock and company is based in UK, so it shouldn't take that long. Next time probably won't be using them. This is something we've been working on, we do now send out emails when an item has been dispatched which we didn't before.

I have been after a Cannondale hooligan for a long time. Quick google search and triton popped up. They were only 40mins from me. So sent an email asking did they have the bike in stock. Got a quick response stating it was. I was told I would have to wait for the following day to collect it though. ordered a bike from them on a Wednesday called them on Friday to ask where the bike was, told that it was out of stock, they said I should have received a email on the Thursday. Email sent within 48 hours of order to explain that bike was unfortunately sold out.

We offered a generous discount off the new model of the same bike which would be selling at full RRP at all other UK stores but customer ALSO wanted 10% worth of free goods. Unfortunately the offers we run cannot be used in conjunction with each other i.e. you may only use one or the other.

Our customer service team offered this customer a very good deal as a gesture of goodwill to compensate for the fact we couldn't complete the original order.

We're sorry that we couldn't get hold of the bike originally ordered and that the offer we made wasn't good enough to satisfy this customer.

As a pertential customer, I am appalled by the lack of customer service skills this girl! Had. I ask for a part to be measured as there are two different lengths, the time 11.00am she assured me she'd call me back, 5 hours later I call back, to cut a long story short, she said if it's urgent, try else where! Yeah right. I bet this guy was looking for a stem or a set of obscure cheapo cranks, and when the guys couldn't be bothered to waste their time on a £15.00 order. Who spends £25,000 on 10 bikes for a charity ride? Why not spend £600.00 per bike and give the rest of the money to charity? This guy is just a spoilt, sexist, armchair warrior, who just couldn't get his own way.
