i bought a cube mountain bike only been using it 3 months and mainly on roads and its started to get a cranking noise from the front pedal area when going up hills contacted them and was told it was a loose bracket which isnt covered on the warranty told me to take it to a local bike repair shop to get it looked at and let them know how i got on at my own expense ! sent them photos and asked which bracket they are talking about cause i could not see one underneath, waiting on reply. customer after care is very poor was going to buy one for the wife but no chance now terrible attitude especially when i spent £1300 on the bike ...

They mean the bottom bracket-it isn't underneath the bike. This is basically the component that the cranks connect through the frame and allow you to actually pedal. Phots and a better description online
