DON'T BUY THESE ITEMS TOGETHER!
After deciding to go against the grain (Motacaddy & Powacaddy) , I ordered the Stowamatic 'deluxe' trolley bag. It had plenty of pockets, looks the business & I was intrigued to read about the 'stowalock' anti 'bag twist' on the base of the bag. The bag was dually ordered & promptly delivered by SportHQ.
Being happy with the trolley bag I decided to review the latest model of Stowamatic electric trolley to accompany their own brand bag. The latest model (GXT) was orderered & delivered.
And then the problems started........
No matter how much I tightened the bottom securing strap prior to a round of golf, I continued to get excessive bag twist. The bag sits awkwardly on the trolley base as well as looking unsightly. The result of this meant the trolley would pull sharply to one side due to the probable weight imbalance.
After much toing & froing I have now been informed by 'customer services' that the latest Stowamatic GXT electric trolley will not allow their Stowamatic 'deluxe' trolley bag to 'lock together'. i.e. they are not compatible!!!!
It transpires the ONLY trolley bag they continue to market (of which I bought)will ONLY lock onto previous/old models of their trolley. (of which they no longer sell).
Regarding the 'trolley pull' they suggested I adjust the front wheel to compensate. Unfortunatley the allen key & spanner provided were of the wrong size & so they duly sent me out a replacement wheel (clearly used) instead of replacement tools!
My advice to you?
Buy the bag if you wish, BUT use it in conjunction with a more well known brand of electric trolley (you know the ones) which, incidently, are compatible with the stowalock anti bag twist system on the bag!!!
Crazy I know.
