I am writing to complain about a very unpleasant experience I had today with the adviser (she refused to provide me with her surname), one of your manager's in your customer service team.

I telephoned her today to make enquiries about a tent I bought from Sports Direct less than a year ago, your team have recieved two sets of photographs regarding this product fault. The tent was purchased under a year ago and has been stored in my airing cupboard until I used it for the first time a few weekend's ago. When I pitched the tent up on this first occasion I discovered that the inner tent stitching was pulling through which has created some holes, hence my telephone call to your customer services team.

During the course of the conversation, where I remained calm and polite throughout, I was dismayed that part way through the telephone call she hung up on me. I immediately telephoned back and the call was answered by another member of staff who said she would transfer me back to her and to my horror, she disconnected the call again. Upon my third telephone call to the same team, I asked her why she hung up on me, where she became defensive asking me why I accused her of hanging up on me, which I confirmed she had done. At this point she then refused to continue the convestaion to resolve the situation concerning my tent at which point I expressed my frustration at her incompetence.

As you can imagine, I was horrified at what I would consider to be curt, rude and abrupt staff and extremely dissatisfied with such poor customer service. Quite frankly, I would expect much better common courtesy from a member of a customer services team which I would believe are employed to resolve these types of issues.

My tent cost £320 (in addition to accessories of £45) and as such I would expect better after sales support.

I am highlighting this matter to you, so that no other Sports Direct customers have to experience curt staff like I have had to and what you can do to resolve this issue for me, so that I do not have to deal with your customer services team further.

I have lost faith in the Terra Nova brand due to the poor stitch quality and I would like a full refund for the price of the tent (your team have a copy of the original receipt).
