Placed an order with sports direct and was prompted to purchase more to get free delivery. Received a confirmation email to say order had been received and placed. One of the items ordered was a pre order so was told the rest of the order would be held back till the pre order item was available which I didn't mind as it was only a few days. On the day the pre order item was available I received an email to say one of the items I had ordered was no longer available and the item had been cancelled. I was kept waiting for 30 minutes trying to get through to customer services before I spoke to an adviser. I asked if I could re order the item that was no longer in stock in a different colour rather than it being cancelled and was told no, amendments couldn't be made to completed orders. I was told I would have to cancel the whole order and re order. What annoys me more than anything is all the items were available at the time of ordering. Why could these items not be sent and then the pre ordered item follow ? I then got a cancellation email through to confirm the whole order had been cancelled. The pre ordered item was highlighted stating that it now wouldn't be available for another 5 days. (Not sure why as the order was cancelled). What was the point in me re ordering the whole order as by the time the pre ordered item became available, other items were probably out of stock. I am now awaiting my money to be refunded and am not looking forward to my phone bill as the customer services number is a premium rate number and the whole call lasted at least 35 minutes...and what for...nothing. I would not order online again from this company as the item that was cancelled was a present so I has to run out at last minute to find something else. That's sports direct.
