I used to like this shop but did hear some bad things about it I thought it was just people being picky and moaning but lately I have been getting treated badly by the staff when I go in.
There just seems to be no customer care of any sorts and there is never a please or a thank you from any member of staff, I dont want a full in your face falseness when getting served but a thank you or a hello would be nice.
I was in Peckham store today, the weather is cold outside so I had a hat on and my hood up on my sweatshirt I walked in past the security guard and was in the store for ten minutes walking around when the same security guard came up to me and said "take your hood down or get out the shop" no excuse me or sorry we dont want people with hoods up just get it down or get out!
Now it should be said that I am in my mid 40's not some young kid looking like I am out to steal something so this was something I was not going to accept, I told him no I was not going to take my hood down until he learnt some manners! he then said " I am not going to argue with you about this so get out" I ignored him then started to walk away and every time I went to move he stepped in front of me to block the way!
There are no signs saying no hoods and even if I took my hood down I still had a hat on so what is it all about?
In the end the things I was carrying that I was going to buy were tossed at him and I left the shop.
I now will not be going back to Sports Direct! and I would urge anyone else reading this to also never use them until they train the staff on how to approach and talk to customers!
