KATES SKATES RUINED CHRISTMAS

13 December, I purchase a pair of shoes from Kates Skates...they only get dispatched on the 19th, and after waiting in three days for one day delivery, they arrive on the 22nd-WRONG SIZE!!! With only an hour before I had to leave for work, I frantically emailed and phoned up, trying to get through to a human instead of a pre-recorded message (take note, Kates Skates, your phone system is abysmal). The lady on the phone did nothing to try and compensate for the error, not offering to send me a suitable alternative in time for Christmas, nothing..just told me how to return the item.
I did return the item but had to wait days (Paypal, not bank, so should have been instant) before the money came back to me, and only got the refund after several emails, the last threatning them with Trading Standards. I'm given apologies and excuses that the Christmas period was busy. I appreciate that, but come on, if you are expecting orders at Christmas time, I expect a company to be able to send out the items people ordered.
