"what you get is what you pay for"
This is always true, even with fishing gear.
What you're getting here is a great little travel rod for fishing that covers most types except for surf and rock fishing - it is a 5ft rod, after all.
Fits in my backpack and I take it on picnics so I can wet my line whilst everyone else is enjoying the sun.
As with all rods: Get the right line - maximum 8lb mono, 0.28mm - AND SET YOUR DRAG RIGHT! Setting the wrong drag will ruin ANY setup, regardless of what it is.
Unlike other small telescopic travel rods, the eyelets are a decent size to allow a good cast with smooth line running using size 1 or 2 sinkers, or jigs / lures 15g and under.
