I ordered this boot online:-Meindl Respond Mid GTX® Walking Boot,
in size 11 and paid £2.50 for next day delivery.
The boots did indeed turn up the next day but in size 9.5! After a phone call to customer services it became apparent that I would have to rearrange for the boots to be returned by taken them myself to a local pck up point but at least Go Outdoors would pay for postage.
3 days later I got an email saying my replacement would be sent out immediately, 2 days later I got another email saying there was a stock problem and I would have to have a refund but again I would have to call Go Outdoors to arrange this on a chargeable number.
Refund made I went back online and though this time I'll reserve a pair and get them myself, Blackburn were showing 2 pairs of 11 in stock.
The next day at the Blackburn store I was informed that they had none and even though I had my confirmation with me they told me "that is not confirmation that they are in stock" even though it says they will be ready for collection in 1 hour! is it me or is this just bizzare? so a round trip of over 20 miles yet again another waste of time!!!!
The website still shows them in stock today, over a week later.
All in all a complete waste of time and a shocking service.
Training needs to be done for staff and the website needs updating on a regular basis.
